I came to Mumbai 2 years back when I got job in Software Company I don’t know what they saw in me at that time but surprisingly I got the job. Then I came in contact with Mumbai’s “LOCAL” (LOCAL TRAIN) which every MUMBAIKAR has to under very morning and evening, it’s a lifeline of Mumbai as described by all. Wonderful connectivity and wonderful timing and now I will talk about the other LIFE LINE OF MUMBAI OUR OWN Auto-Rickshaw and Taxis
It takes us from station to out destination or from home to station when we are in hurry and when we come to home in evening and don’t want to go by BEST BUS.
I was thinking about this when I was coming from station to my home at 12:30 am.
Everyone knows that auto has been switched to CNG has anyone thought what’s cost of CNG :: CNG in Mumbai is 20.90 per kg
Mr A. K. Purwaha, Managing Director of Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL), said, ''In addition to being environment friendly, natural gas is also cost-effective compared to petrol and diesel. Running cost of a CNG vehicle is more than 60 per cent cheaper than petrol run vehicle.''
But the price what we are paying to RICKSHAWALLA IS STILL THE SAME ........................ knock-knock do you know this if yes then where the person inside you Still sit ideal saying why I should pay higher price when it should be 60% LESS from the Auto-Rickshaws and Taxis which run with petrol .
I talked about this with Auto-Rickshawwallas they said “getting (BUYING) rickshaws is costly now and maintenance is also costly so they don’t want the prices should fall from current rates''.
And what about CNG cost to Auto-Rickshawwallas, they said '' 7 kg cylinder I fill only 3 kgs and run whole day (APPROX Rs 60 - 80/ day)'' and what they earn ??.....i think this is not the Question to ask the BIG QUESTION IS HAS TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY OF MUMBAI LOWERED THE Tariffs OF Auto-Rickshaws to 60% LESS
I don’t think so what I feel is that we always give them 20-25% extra as their meters always run faster than their speedometer that means we give them 200% over what WE SUPPOSED TO GIVE TO THEM (TAKING ASSUMPTION THAT I give Rs 120 to rickshaw but I should be giving Rs 40 and eventually RS 20 or 25 extra for their Meters performance which they take from us that their meter comes first in race with wheels)
I always think where my all money goes. I give you an example: It’s like Australia batting and Indians are bowling and AUSTRALIA is in middle over where they make 6-7 runs per over without any boundary and then WE Indians think how they can make so much runs.
HERE INDIANS refer to, we people, whose mode of transportation next to LOCAL TRAIN is Auto-Rickshaws and AUSTRALIANS refer to Auto-Rickshaws and Runs which they(AUSTRALIANS) make refer to tariff which every day we pay to them and what those wheels should faster then their meters.
Many news channels come forward related to these topics but very few care saying IT’S A NEWS and everyone will eventually forgets it like last ELECTIONS.
Do we need to change the system? Or any person from TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY OF MUMBAI will help us out? Or this is another blog on web?
This all depends upon us how seriously we take this FACT and Do something about it……………
