Obviously, there are great reviews as there are out-of-context reviews with great ratings as well as demeaning remarks. And yet the continual additions of new inputs only goes to prove people out there find the MouthShut information useful for their needs. I am a die-hard auto-buff who professed to know everything about Indian autoscene but frankly with the wealth of updated info at MouthShut I am much wiser now. The numerous user reviews in layman's terminology has highlited the importance of simple but critical issues to consider in vehicle selection that could have otherwise been overlooked as unnecessary. User reviews may lack hi-tech jargon but I personally believe they are much more effective than expert technical reviews bcoz they tell the truth about actual real-life experiences which in many cases may be different from the advertised product's paper-specs.

Yes, it is important to read the expert reviews at the various Auto Magazines as they provide elaborative product data. I recommend to use this info and short list your product search and then check out user reviews/feedback at MouthShut to base your decision. Remember, what the AutoMag's expert reviewer recommend may not necessarily be always be what exactly you were looking for, so do yourself the favour to browse the numerous user inputs at MouthShut and in all probability you would end up finding the right product.

I've seen a lot of vital suggestions and critical comments and it would be a pity if these just end up being written, seen and forgotten.
