I am not compulsive reviewer at Mouthshut, neither am I an ardent fan of the reviews written here. I ''bumped'' into this website when I wanted a feedback of a product. The site is really helpful for most products. But here's something that is really silly:
False pats on reviewer's back:
It appears that members want to encourage reviewers even if the reviews of that guy suck! Is this a school to get trained on how to write reviews? It looks as if this site is only for those people who want to write and read reviews but not buy the product. The ultimate goal of this website should be giving an honest third-party feedback of products they wish to buy. But as you see, most people here belong to the class of ''Call Center Executives'' who earn their money just by talking. It doesn't matter even if it doesn't make sense. There are many reviews I can point my fingers at, but lets leave that for later. to top this, the comments (mostly by people desperate to get ''Very Useful'' rating on their reviews, are so stupid, it makes me laugh. Who are these people. There are many people who cheer for others for no reason. This is like rigging guys! Get yourselves serious jobs!!!
Stick to products and services and do not encourage to write reviews about this like how do you find the Indian government etc... This is separate category and I suggest , you guys keep politics out of your website
I suggest, you start profiling your users about the reviews they write, how many reviews they write and how genuine are these? Please discourage these compulsive reviewers... BTW, does MS pay people to write reviews? Come on... if you guys are.. What can I say? The BPOers have got a new career option after their ''Hotel Management'', ''Arts'' and ''Commerce'' degrees from unknown undergrad colleges...
BTW, I don't care what you think about my review, just as the way I don't about yours, unless I am planning to buy the product/service you are talking about
