This review is for the outlet in JP Nagar, Bangalore.
Location: I go to this place a lot because it is on the way to my house. You can't miss it! It is a large place by any standards and it is right on the ring road. Easier to turn into their parking lot when you are going from Jayadeva flyover towards Banashankari than the other way round (when you have to take a U turn and come back).
Parking: This is definitely the place to go if you are planning to drive. They have lots of parking and but for a few days here and there, I have never had a problem finding parking.
Ambience and Decor: The place is large and airy with a rather minimalist approach to ambience. I like the high Mangalore tiled roof and the tree that is growing inside. One of the things I love about this place is that the tables are set far apart and you don't have to suffer your neighbours' conversations while you eat with your group. Also I have rarely had to wait for a table especially in the downstairs section (self-serve, fast food). Their architects seem to have thought about quite a few things. I like the fact that they have taps in the bathroom that you don't have to touch. Also the fact that they have non-skid tiles along the counters so that you don't slip and drop your food! :)
Food: I have to say I like the food here. For chats, juice etc. you can see it served right at the counter. For other fast food like dosas, they have a kitchen in the back. They are well organized and have a token system at the main counter. You don't have to jostle around at the counter for food that you have paid for. I've tried the sit-down section upstairs but did not like the food there so much. The North Indian stuff is just not their forte. Downstairs they serve mostly South Indian/Bombay food which is good.
Customer Service: I find the customer service quite good. Other than not enforcing a queue at the counter where you buy your tickets/coupons, I think they are quite well organized. The few times that I have had problems with the food or environment, they have been courteous in taking the feedback and making reparations. Also I like the fact that they allow you to spend as much time as you like. They've never hounded me to get done and leave like they do at some other restaurants with less space. Ideal for meeting old friends with lots of catching up.
Value for money: I frequently go there with my family and it is one of the few places where you can eat comfortably in a hygienic environment for about Rs 250/- for a family of four. So definitely 4 stars on this factor.
