I bought furniture worth of 2 lacs  six months back and still several issues going on their delivery with several damages. Finally got their senior official contact by name Lokendra and dropped a mail. there was not even a single response. I am just pasting the mail below. I have all pictures of their damaged products delivered to us. they are not ready to replace any of them. Please be extra careful before placing any order with Wooden street. Hi Lokendra,


This is Yuvaraj, one of your customer facing several issues with wooden street order. I built a new house in Bangalore and decided to place all furniture order. As I moved to USA I decided to place the order online. After hearing a positive response from Naila who co-ordinated this order I placed almost all my house furniture order worth 1.95 lacs in May 2017. Since then almost everyday we need to run behind your support teams to fix multiple issues either in product quality and delivery schedules.


Its almost 5 months now still not all products are delivered with satisfaction and some products already showing its quality even within your warranty period. Please find the summary of issues highlighted below. You need to have enough patience to read this, just imagine the mental stress we have been going through after wrongly placing the order with Wooden street.


Initial order placed - May 2017


Following issues faced

Following delivered on 7th Aug, images attached.




  1. The Adolph bed side table has some damage like chipping of wood




2.The zeigler coffee table also has some damage likewise


3.The zeigler coffee  table polish also has some problems. .It has some hand prints


4.The head  board of the Adolph bed had some damage


5.The Adolph bed hydraulic part has not been installed. .


6.The plywood has been wet and stained on one side for the Adolph bed


7.The kendra bed head board also has some damage


8.The kendra bed plywood has some chipping


These above were fixed on 11th Aug


Dining Table got delivered on 21st Aug with following problems, images attached.


1) There were several cracks found on the legs of the chairs


2) The fabric on the bench is not firmly in place


3) The size of the bench is little longer than expected.It does not slide under the dining table as expected. Wondering how they didn't see this while manufacturing.


4) There was continuous creaking noises when sitting on the bench. found that the that the bench was faulty, .Its broken(image attached)


Cracks on the legs of chairs fixed on 24th Aug( though some were huge cracks.was fixed with some glue and polish.not satisfactory.Though complained about that to customer care, , they just pacified us saying those cracks will cause no problems.was literally hushed up though we did not like the repair .


And they agreed to replace the broken bench.on 24th Aug and again on Sept 12 by Naila. We have mail proofs.


There was a detailed discussion about the problems faced with Naila on Sept 12th .She tried to hush us up on every problem faced .


From Oct 1st .even they started saying that the bench will be delivered in 4-5 days.Now its become 22nd Oct as per yesterday.which is almost 2 months from the agreed date of 24th Aug.


Now on 26th Sept .noticed a big crack on the coffee table as well.which again they want to fix with probably glue and polish like the previous cracks .


I think this is highly unacceptable.keeping in mind that we paid a huge sum of money for these products.


In addition the fabric of the sofa is very inferior, , it has stared developing lint like stuff.(photos in mail) after just 2 months of use.and looks very old already


The overall quality of the product itself looks cheap.not like a 40 k sofa.


There is no justification whatsoever with regard to the amount paid, the timelines of delivery of the products.the quality of delivered products.the damages.


Absolutely poor quality and highly priced products


The Customer service experience is very bad.multiple people handling the calls.its confusing as to who actually deals with our order.


Only till order was placed Naila was in contact .later different people like Ashish, Tanvi, Shyam, Ravindra .etc handling calls .


Overall a very bad experience in furnishing the house.and the best part is that its till not resolved and we are being bullied and taken for a ride.


Absolutely dissatisfied even after aishwaryasingh23ing a premium.


Timelines and Delivery of products:


Order Placed in May 2017 for 1.95 lacs


Fabric confirmed for sofa - 17th July


Sofa delivered - 1st week of august(3rdAug)

1)double bed - head board had damages, the sheet where mattress would be placed was wet on one side. hydraulic function not installed


2)trundle bed- head board had damages


3)coffee table- scratches on surface -multiple places


4)bed side table- damaged.wood chipped .


August 11th


fixed hydraulic+ damages


Dining table


-


Delivery- 21st August


Problems about cracks on 2 of the chairs legs( 1 crack was very big, one  small) conveyed to support team plus bench does not fit under the table


22nd august -


Complained about breaking in the bench


24th August


Carpeneter visited to fix the cracked chairs+ said bench will be replaced


26th -27th September - Coffee table crack is seen


I have summarized all my issues faced so far. I could have spent just one lac to get the furniture done from a local shop in Bangalore with a better quality than spending double the money, waited for long and still struggling to fix the issues. THIS KIND OF SERVICE AND DELIVERY IS NOT AT ALL ACCEPTABLE.


You may know very well the impact to Wooden street by just posting this mail message along with the photos in public forums. I am just being patience to the maximum level waiting to close all issues smoothly. There are three outstanding issues now,




  1. The broken Dinning bench delivery is not acceptable to receive any longer from now as it delayed already by four months.




  2. The Bed Table started giving large cracks. You can't keep on fixing the problems by doing patch work. The quality of wood and finish is expected to be of some quality. If cracks develop within 2 months how long this will sustain?




  3. The Sofa was very expensive for a 3 seater, the fabric is already coming out with lot of threads on the surface. There are only two person at home and just used for 2 months. Its not worth for 40k.






I hope you take this feedback seriously and take necessary actions to resolve my issues. Will wait for your response and then I will decide how to take this forward.

Thank you for sharing your feedback.
We did go through your entire case and please note our feedback below. All the issues you mentioned on certain timelines were rectified by our team however from the entire case now under discussion subjects are:
1) Alley 3 seater sofa - Deepa said she didn't like the fabric for which solution of reupholstery is already offered and we await for you to confirm a date for repick of a sofa. We also informed you the deduction of the cost we would be refunding you while you provide your new fabric to us await a response on that as well.
2) Coffee table - You mentioned a mark suddenly appeared which is after nearly three months of usage, i.e., delivery of coffee table took place on 8th August for which we informed you already carpenter should come down to your home and rectify the issue.
3) Dining Table Bench - As committed on emails on 9th October regarding bench delivery the same successfully had got done later.
.As well pictures attached of scratches/damages all were rectified we have crossed check via our team and the exchanged emails.Please let us know which issue was left unanswered so we can look into the matter
