So, in my previous semester there were placements going on in our college. And the first company to visit our college for placement was WIPRO. This being the first company, everyone was so excited and also equally nervous. The first round was aptitude test and more than 300 candidates were shortlisted from the whole college.
The next day, was the technical interview and HR. I went to the technical interview and the interviewer started to ask questions. I answered almost all of them; he was impressed as I was from non-IT stream. My technical interview continued for 45minutes and he was so happy with me that he told that I have got the job. Then next I had to attend the HR, but due to lack of time the HR was cancelled.
After a week of time, the results were announced and thankfully I was placed in Wipro and Infosys :D.
And then there were many other placements going on in our college. As I was already placed I was not allowed to attend other companies.
After about two months, everyone placed in Wipro got a mail regarding the placement and were asked to fill up a form. If the form was not filled, the offer would be considered cancelled. I did not get any mail, I was tensed and went to the HR department of our college, and they gave me the email id to contact Wipro. When I mailed them telling that I haven’t received the mail, they asked me to send my details. After about one month of continuously mailing them they tell me calmly that my offer got cancelled. When I ask them about the reason, there was no reply from their side. And, mind you they will never answer your calls, they just reply to your mail.
Then I go to the HR department of our college and inform everything to them, they tell that they will look after that. After fifteen days he calls me up and says that I will be receiving the offer letter directly. The day came when offer letters were being distributed in our college. And I didn’t get the offer letter also.
When again I started torturing our HR and he in turn asking the Wipro people, they finally tell that MY OFFER IS CANCELLED.
Reason: Her name is missing in our database.
So, Wipro people I was not dreaming when you people announced my name in our college, just because some of your stupid employee did some stupid mistake you cannot cancel my offer. It is okay because I have got two offers, but what if a person solely depended on your offer and at the end you say that sorry your name is missing. What will he/she do then? Just stand in that place and think. And try to be more careful while handling these type of things, because it may be a simple problem to you but it effects the life of others
