I have been booking cab through radio wings for quiet sometime. Initially, there service was very good. But the service has been on a consistent decline in recent times. Three times in a row, I booked a cab to travel from a travels stand or a railway station, the cab did not arrive. The driver assigned to pick me up simply refuses to come. There is absolutely no required communication between the helpdesk and the driver. Following is the incident I would like to note.
I had a cab booked to pick me up from Sancheti hospital to my home. My pickup time was 4:30 am.
4:10 am - I get SMS from Wings with driver name and number.
4:30 am - I reach Sancheti hospital(I am travelling with my family which includes a 4 month kid). I dont see a cab around.
4:30 am - I call the driver. To my surprise . driver not willing to come as he is in a far location. I dont know why the hell on the earth Wings does not confirm with the driver before assigning the trip. No one cares to inform the customer. I am told that another driver will come to pick me up.
4:35 am - I call the help desk. They say that another driver will come to pick me up.
4:50 am - No one arrives. Neither the SMS with new driver details. I call the help desk again. They still say that some one will arrive in next 5-10 mins.
5:00 am - Frustrated with this, finally take auto to commute back to home.
5:05 am - Gets a call from another driver that he will arrive in next 10-15 mins to pick me up. I cannot understand how they can keep customer waiting for so long and still expect him/her to stay.
This experience I have seen three times in a row where the assigned driver refuses for the trip. I am sure WINGS is going out of business in couple of years or may be soon if they dont improve on their service.
