Dog Fight!!! Windows Phone OS vs Android OS

Nokia made what I think is its best case for you buying a Windows Phone. No, wait, that’s not quite right. It, along with Microsoft made the case for you adopting the Windows Phone ecosystem: powerful, innovative hardware, tens of thousands of apps, and a flexible, people-centric OS that’s married to a much, much larger ecosystem of desktops, laptops and, soon, tablets. The Nokia Lumia 920 running Windows Phone 8 is the full realization of Microsoft’s mobile platform.

It meets or beats many competitors on a wide variety of key hardware features, including wireless charging, NFC pairing, a large high-def screen and, perhaps most notably, powerful image-capturing hardware and software. The operating system is rich, customizable and different at a time where uniqueness counts. One byproduct of Apple winning its patent battle with Samsung is that a judge and jury have proven Apple and Samsung mobile products are more alike than not. In a world where the same starts to blend together, the unique will stand out. Being different is not enough to make Windows Phone and Nokia successful. If it were, then simply saying the opposite of whatever someone else says would make you the most successful guy in the office (I believe George Costanza once tried this). It can work for a little while, but not as a long-term strategy. So lets see what in my opinion makes Windows Phone OS better than Android OS.

Streamlined User Interface:

In Android, the UI you will be using is rather different depending on the SKU of the mobile phone. When Comparing UI of Motorola phone or HTC or Samsung, the given Andorid phones UI are different. Now that is different with Windows Phone, as any handset regardless of manufacture, the mobile phone will have the same UI, with its structured user interface, it would be a lot easier shifting from various windows phone with different manufacturers.

Easy to Use Interface:

Most of the smartphone users right now are not that techie, and would love to use a phone that is easiest to use to perform their everyday task easily. While Android is much more a geek phone, where in order to see its real power you must be willing to learn new things, Windows phone has a “Live tile” system that makes things easier for a normal user to organize and search things that they need to use throughout the day.

Apps:

We been hearing a lot things like, will Windows phone OS become people favourite because of the number of applications available when compared to Android? Well I think the answer is YES, why? because it really does not matter how many different applications you have in the market, what really matters is how many good Applications you have and for that matter windows have all the good apps you can possibly think of. Android is open-source which is very good as more and more application developers are willing to sell or share their apps in the Marketplace. However you’ll find apps in the Android Marketplace, that are poorly developed, and with increasing number of such apps in the Android Marketplace it’s becoming difficult for a normal user to find good apps that they can use everyday.

Cross Platform Application Integration:

If you have been a Xbox or PC gamer, then you will love Windows Phone reason for this is if you are looking for a game in windows store chances are that it can be a compatible mobile version of a game you are playing. This means players can keep earning points and unlock achievements with their windows phone. Also you can modify your Xbox Live avatar and you can also keep track of your friend’s achievements. So can you now imagine the connections between gaming and mobile phones in the future.

Microsoft Mobile Office:

Want to Open and Edit a Word document on your phone itself? Well Microsoft Mobile Office is here. Use it to edit your documents via mobile like for example, the Microsoft Word Mobile edition, where you can use remotely access documents in SharePoint Server 2010, and it also lets you find email documents directly from your mobile. Microsoft is really doing a gr8 job in its attempt to integrate computers and phones.

Stability:

Users of windows phone are experiencing a more stable experience in using apps as they crash less may be because windows phone demonstrates more stability while performing complex tasks that Android lacks, like the multi-tasking and support for tethering.

Experience Zune:

With Windows Phone, Zune comes as a native client, hence setting up a music service on windows phone is very easy, unlike in Android where you need to download several apps, like Google Music, that has to be first synced with Google Wallet, which then has to be in sync with Google Music Server, that needs Gauntlet to unlock songs.

I hope that this review will help many out there thinking of switching from Anroid to Windows but still don't know if they really need to do this. Also when buying a phone one should first look at his/her priorities. You should ask yourselves if you really need that phone everyone is talking about.

Also when we speak of OS of a phone we know that you must be geek who loves apps development, because for a normal user it really does not matter what OS is running on a phone as long as he can update his FB Status, Tweet, Stay connected to friends on IM, Make Video Calls on Skype and take some nice photos with built in Camera.
