Here in Los Angeles, California the Discovery Channel is shown on #3. Through-out the day there are many programs about home decorating. Wild Discovery starts at 7:00 pm, running for one hour. Recently they added another hour long show that begins at 8:00 pm.
The opening theme to this show is exciting with the Tiger appearing and the WILD DISCOVERY! You will learn about mammals, pets, birds, reptiles and amphibians. The locations vary from the Kalahari Desert, Alaska, Africa and India.
After each episode is a number for you to call to order the catalog to find a store in your location and to order a videotape of any of the animals profiled in the Wild Discovery series.
I have taped episodes entitled, Lions of Etosha and another series for one week called, Savage Wilderness.
While watching Wild Discovery you just might learn about jackals, cheetahs, boars, seals, hippos, meerkats,elephants and bears, to name a few. The scenes are breathtaking, shot in the morning and late into the night with special equipment to give great coverage of the animals in their natural habitat.
These shows are highly educational and family friendly. This is a great opportunity for parents to teach their children about the wildlife in other countries. Next you take your kids to the zoo to get up close and personal to the animals they have come to love from viewing Wild Discovery every week night on the Discovery Channel.
