In olden days it was all Britannica Encyclopedia which had answers for everything but it was only for the wealthy. After the growth of internet information sharing got cheap. The idea of a encyclopedia which can accessed by everyone for free lead to the making of Wikipedia.
In 2001, Larry Sanger and Jimmy Wales first hosted the domain "Wikipedia" and it lead to the starting of the era which had free access for knowledge. It is a non-profit organisation and those who can access to the site can also be a part of its editing process. But it mostly share legit information and important article cannot be edited except by main admins. They are funded by donations around the world.
They have information in every sections. But some article like some local film information can sometimes have wrong information. Another feature of the website is that hyperlink to other article. There's hyperlink through out the article to the website this helps the readers to be intact with the site itself. And site has all the information so do not need to look another website. There is also an inbuilt search engine.
You need information go to Wikipedia.!
Free for all.knowledge is not anyone's private property.!
