Story:

''...You do not need to be defeated by anything...You can have peace of mind and a never-ceasing flow of energy..your life can be full of joy and satisfaction..of

this I have no doubt at all..''Norman Vincent Peale

And with that positive note,i'll go straight ahead with my article!

Imagine This:So you have this very important interview coming up ,promising you the career of your life. You are all pumped up with excitement and you keep

assuring yourself,''Man!U are tailored for this job!You deserve it for sure!''.You simply cant take this idea off your head and you give vent to your enthusiasm by

rehearsing the whole scenario out in the kitchen, in the bathroom, in the study room (and God knows where else!)with such fierce engrossment, your parents think you are

probably round the bend and they even fix an appointment with the most famous psychiatrist in town, who gives online counselling to his patients. But you know what you want.....

The much awaited day arrives and you look perfect in your sparkling white Van Huesen shirt with matching trousers from Allen Solly and having said your prayers with more piousness than would have been expected of you,you make a dash for the venue of the interview.

Suddenly you are a bundle of nerves. The old optimism fades away. You look desperate. You enter the hall and the big fat bald-headed man seated on the other side of the table fires a string of questions at you.You struggle for words and then dabble and blabber something deliriously. You walk out feeling stupid. You are at your wit's end when you comprehend that your high-school rival,Bunty, notorious for his insincerity is gifted the job.You are flabbergasted.''That saala,**@#$%^(&^#how dare he..blah blah.'' is all you can think of.

Now you can do one of these 5 things:

1 #. Jump off the 15th floor of your appartment

2 #. Lock yourself up in a room and hang yourself upside down from the ceiling fan (Note:Make sure the rope used is strong enough)

3 #. Stretch yourself along the railway track

(Note:Make sure you go through the Railway Timetable before attempting this'coz Indian trains are tricky!)

4 #. Watch an Alfred Hitchkock thriller, set out in the dead of the night and gun down Bunty (That'd be too hammy!!).

5 #. But then, if you are a sensible person, you would probably read Dr.Spencer Johnson's ''Who Moved My Cheese?''(Yup, yup.im coming to that, finally!)

What this book is about:

Sniff and Scurry are two little mice living with Hem and Haw who are ''littlepeople''(Nope..this is not another story from the Aesops Fables!!)and they go hunting for cheese in Cheese Station C....Well, anyways ,im not gonna give you the story and deprive you of the joy and satisfaction it would give you when you read it for yourself!!!

The story may sound too simple but dont laugh at me when I say that this story has inspired millions of readers to a better and fuller life.

Dictionary:

##Cheese: Cheese is synonymous with all our wants and needs in life,be it health, happiness, spirituality, job, people or whatever.

##Maze : This is the labyrinth where all things you want in life are hidden. You need to sniff and scurry your way to get what you want because its definitely in there..all you gotta do is keep searching

##Sniff,Scurry:They represent simple-mindedness.They are totally non-judgemental and they never give way for despondency.Always ready to adapt themselves to change and move with the cheese.

##Haw: He wants to change but is scared lest anything worse should happen to him.He seems a wee bit confused but still shows an inclination to learn and to accept change gracefully.

##Hem: He does not even want to try and get out of his comfort zone.He is frustrated , he fumes and frets yet he does not want to change or do anything about it.He lives in a world which, nfortunately for him, is non-existant.

Getting Into The Nuances:

This is a simple parable that reveals profound truths. You've got to read the book for

yourself to find out which of these characters comes close to the person that is you.

Here are a few things you get to understand once you read it :

Keep The Faith: Believe in yourself.Thats Lesson No.1!Its as simple as that.Dont care a damn about what others have to talk about you.All you have to do is believe

that you can achieve what you want to, gear up and get..set..go!give it your best shot!

The Glass Is Half Full:The age old theory!!Every action we do springs from a thought(Forget about people who dont really THINK!!!)and obviously thinking positively does influence our actions the positive way.

Say Not,The Struggle Naught Availeth:Yup,thats one of my favourite poems. To turn your dreams into reality u've gotta put through the mill and you must never be despondent when things dont go right.

''And not by eastern windows only

When daylight comes, comes in the light

The sun climbs slow, how slowly

But westward look, the land is bright!''

I simply relish those lines!

Move With The Cheese:This is the ultimate lesson this book teaches you.To cope with changes in life, in the workplace etc..you will have to first of all ''anticipate change''.The natural tendancy towards change is to resist it.

In the words of James Baldwin, the American writer:''People can cry more easily than they can change''.

This unique book leaves an impression that would last a lifetime.Living in the full blast of the cyber era,we realise that stress, change and pressure are inevitable. With

this book, it is possible to ,lets say, have your cheese and eat it too and keep moving with it!!

''Who moved My Cheese?'' will definitely guide you through the ''Maze'' ,help you find ''New Cheese'' and most importantly, help u keep ''moving with the cheese'', if you take it seriously, that is--I can vouch for that!!

And thats that!Awaiting your comments......................
