We had a good experience while buying our Honda Civic this February/March. The first service was also done well.


The second service has been the worst experience that any car owner can go through. Our GPS chip was stolen from the car. It is a tiny chip that fits inside an adapter. The adapter was intact but the chip was stolen. There were scratches in the dashboard, dirt and dirty fingerprints all over the interiors of the car. When we went to pick up the car, we immediately reported this to the service center guys but they did not do anything about it and just told that they'll take better care next time. What about the problems created this time? They did not want to fix it.


After driving the car for a while we realized that the service center guys had damaged the AC system of the car too. Even though we keep the AC in internal circulation mode the dust and pollution moves into the car. We never had this problem before giving the car for second service.


We complained about this to Honda India, who forwarded it to Whitefield Honda. After calling them over and over again for 2.5 weeks and visiting the showroom 3 times they finally provided a replacement for the stolen GPS chip. But they blatantly denied anything going wrong with the AC, they did not even bother to inspect it properly even after we complained about it many times.


We took the service center head for a test drive and showed him that the dust and pollution is coming inside the car when in internal circulation AC mode and he told us to use a car freshner instead of looking into or fixing the problem.


We have a car worth 18.66 lakhs and it is not capable of blocking out the dust and pollution anymore thanks to the pathetic service by Whitefield Honda. We contacted Honda India many times and they are just forwarding our complaint to Whitefield Honda instead of providing an alternate solution.


We have already approached Whitefield Honda thrice and they were not ready to fix the problem created by their service guys so I don't see why Honda India just wants to push this to Whitefield Honda again and again instead of proving an alternative solution.


If you are planning to buy a Honda car, stay away from Whitefield Honda. The sales team may be good but the service team is extremely bad. If you have already bought a car from Whitefield Honda be extremely careful if you are giving your car for servicing to them. It will be really helpful if someone can provide me with some pointers on if and how I can take it up with the consumer court.
