I would like to share my experience with Whirlpool Washing Machine. I was unfortunate to have bought a whirlpool washing machine Top loading-6.8kg-wine red-.model no: W M 123680 H .
Initially when I started the machine, it made a frightening amount of noise-this prompted me to call the Customer service at once; but they told me that it was pretty normal! After sometime the machine started producing a huge amount of vibration. So again I reached for the service personnel over the phone; his time, a service person was sent, he found that the drum had come off the hook, he put it back on the hook and it started working again. When I told him that I had a similar bad experience earlier, he informed me that the complaints are not registered in the system and advised me to call the call center and have it registered-which I did.
In a few weeks time, the machine stopped working and I registered my complaint via the call center. The service person who came, tried his level best but could not rectify it. He organized for the machine to be taken back to the workshop and returned it after a week. The machine was now working fine.
However, my relief was short lived as a new problem had cropped up, the mains of my residence tripped when I switched on the machine. I lodged a complaint with the service center again and the machine was taken back to the workshop. This time around I had to follow-up for two months before the machine was brought back, and it was exactly in the same state it was taken from here 2 months back-The mains tripped when I switched on the machine.
I’m very disappointed after having spent my hard earned money, I’m stuck with a piece of junk and all these months my requests have fallen on deaf ears- so much for customer focus and customer centric culture of Whirl pool.
My advice to all out there planning to buy an appliance, do not put you money in a Whirlpool ( pun intended)- You’re going to loose it !!
