The coolest one. Review on Whirlpool Icemagic F 30 Elite Refrigerator

I had bought Whirlpool Refrigerator F30 Elite 285 litres frost free double door for rupees approx 12, 000 /- way back in 2006 from army canteen in delhi . Its working fine, so I called it the coolest one . The product was delivered the next day of purchase as told by the dealer, to my surprise it came on time. I was surprise even most when I found that the auto wala , he himself single-handedly carried to my floor on his back like tea leave picker. Thanks for fiber body and replacement of metal with plastic . The fridge was properly packed in plastic cover with thermocol and carton to avoid any damage to the body. The packaging is good made according to handling condition in transport. F30 Elite was an replacement for a refrigerator was Kelvinator which I was using during my bachelor and student life. I was so emotionally attached with old refrigerator, I had old memories of bachelor hood associated with it …HIC..HIC…hope you got it. Its double door with ample room. Its bested suited for small nuclear family.

The frozen section , is 30-40% used that too during summers for ice-cream and chocolate camouflage and hidden from kids. The frozen section has three part the chiller which makes the ice faster. It has ice holder and plastic twister is very handy in getting the ice quickly by simply twisting and collection in plastic tray below. The design of the twister is very user friendly. It reminds me of those old days when I had to use spoon, to remove the ice from aluminum tray. Wire mesh to keep you frozen food, I am vegetarian by choice : ) so this section is of not much use to me accept for keeping ice-cream , frozen mattar(pea), French fries, etc. The bottle section in upper door, I could not make the best uses of it like bachelor days HIC. HIC due to much restriction these days from family. It lies empty most of the time, accept for keeping chocolate. This part is used to make bottle full of ice when we are going on long drive in Delhi summer’s.

Lower doors , here all the kitchen get stored . The front section has the egg stand ample space for keeping approx dozen of egg. I keep the lemon being a vegetarian. The lower door has two section one for holding the bottles.The bottle holder is detachable modular easy for person to clean and place them back. The racks have ample space to keep four-five normal one lire per bottle.Then on the main lower section , we have one closed transparent basket with vents keeping vegetables for controlling the air flow to vegetable.The vent avoids too much freezing of vegetable for longer freshness. Then we have three toughed glass racks with metal surround the edge enough to hold 3.5 kg of goods. It has special strong plastic tray for paneer and mild food item above where the temperature is lower compare all the panels. The glass seems strong looking at them.

Cosmetic box /section in lower for ladies where they can keep costly cosmetics. Which is never used at all by me. Air control system , which has vent so that you can easily control the flow of air to lower section. Deodorizer, to remove unwanted odor. It basically contains charcoals bags in it.

Compressor is nice small placed at lower open back site of the. It’s a black small one, gets hot a lot during summer may be due to excess work load . Sound, from the compressor is the not much . But u can feel the sounf during night when the world is silent.

Cleaning of the fridge I do it with Colin outer body only, the blue famous liquid and fresh normal water for inside using cotton clothes clean soaked in water . The clean, dry and placing them back in racks

Frost Free , this is the feature or revolution in domestic refrigeration tech. As in old days, I had to switch it off for long time to defrost it. Now in F30 Elite, Its auto defrosts. I had never done the defrosting manually in last 3 years. Power consumption , its cost you approx 4/- rupees per unit in Delhi. So I adjust the thermostat accordingly. The power consumption is minimal , I don’t remember the wattage of the refrigerator . But it is easy on your pockets. Regulator/thermostats , it has option and range for summer and winter. I generally I keep 2-3 in winter and 5-6 during summer. Lights , it has lighting inside lower door only which help us locate things easily. I wish the light was their in upper door too, No light in upper door. Hope Wirlpool works on the same .
