I had bought a Whirlpool Proton 300 lit ( 3 door ) refrigerator in Dec , 2010... The piece costed me about Rs 28, 000. The product looked nice from outside, was spacious and I was happy... Was looking for a good Product experience...
God--I was terribly wrong.. Within 3 months , the deep frosting sytem broke.. It was within warranty at that point of time.The engineer fixed it by changing the part, but could not gurantee that it would work for quite some time. He was right.. It broke down again 1 month after the warranty was over.. I had to pay up for replacing the part + their service charges.. I was annoyed. What started after that is baffling ..
1 month back small pests started coming out from the outside door of the refrigerator.. Mine is a black one , so white pests on the door was a ghastly sight..The engineers came, could not understand , went back..A second guy came , advised us to shut if off for 2 days and then left.
Some engineer then said that this happens due to some improper thermocol stuff which ws inside the refrigerator.He returned , sprayed HIT inside the door and went off. But the pests continued. 7 days have passed after that.. They have neither called back , nor are they doing anything in getting either the door replaced or something else to sort this matter...
My complaint no is KL0812017200. Horrible experience and pathetic customer service. It is time Whirlpool do a serious evaluation on the quality of product and customer experience. Would never buy any Whirlpool product again if they could not provide support to their own products.
