Story:

Whale Song was, Cheryl Tardif's first book. She is a member of MouthShut.

My Review

The time this book took place is in the 1970's, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Sarah Richardson, was born in the United States, but is now living in Canada.

A terrible tragedy leaves here with partial amnesia. She has to regain her memory and face why she has forgotten them.

Our First Nations tell legends is about whales and a yellow-eyed wolf. During the night they come to help her.

In the end it all becomes clear, but you will have to read the book to know about it.

What I Thought

Cheryl develops her characters very well. As I was reading this book I found my self crying.

I enjoyed the way she blended the myths and reality.

This book is about different cultures, and how some people don't like the people who are not the same as they are.

You'll meet bullies who make you mad, and people that will make you happy.

This story is what I always believed in, the truth will set you free!

The Author

Cheryl was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Both here father and husband were in the military, and she has lived in a lot of places in Canada.

She has had two novels published, and one book of poetry on American Anthropology.

Since moving to Edmonton Alberta she has written a script on One Voice - One World, that is being shown on TV cable channels in Alberta.

Important Information

The Whale Song was published in September, 2003.

I own the hardback book and paid $20.00 CAD for it.

It has 250 pages.

The ISBN #1412008786

This book is available at all bookstores in Canada and the United States. You also can buy it on line.

My Thoughts

Although this is a book about a teenager, the message in it is so important, that it is a must read book.

Thank you for reading my review.
