Friends I loved the West Indian team of the Past Era which had players like Viv Richards, Clive Loyld, Grennidge ect who were just like terror for the opponent but seeing the present team the question arises that where this terror of west indies for the game of cricket has gone.
The past team due to its great one's had the conquered that era and would hardly lose any matches they had all type of batsmens from classical bastmen like grennidge to hard hitting one's like Richards and loyld also their Pace attack was superb whenever their batting failed to get runs they Pace attack would do it for them but seeing the present team its hard to belive that was it so.
In the present team except Players like Lara, Hooper all other are new comers and along with inexperienced, I have seen the batting of some of them it not so effective and looks as if they are not capable of handling cricket at this level,due to which they are loosing so many matches even against weaker teams by selecting them I think the selector are just putting such a renowned team to shame and nothing else.
Instead I think the selectors should look for some good classical and some more like Ricardo Powel who would match the the standards of their ancestors and would once bring back their team in form.
At last I would say that if they continue with the same present squad then this team is sure to Perish soon from the world of cricket.
