Shyam Benegal's Hard Hitting Movie . Review on Well Done Abba

If I say this was one of the best movie I watched I think that will not be true but I must say it is good movie and made it on hardcore issue of corruption in government department and government schemes. Boman Irani play the role of car driver who lives in Mumbai and his family which includes his daughter(Minnisha Lamba), brother(Boman Irani in double role) and Ila Arun who play the role of wife as well as sister-in-law.

Story revolves around the village in Hyderabad which is facing acute water problem and because of that government gives money to the residents under a scheme to build the well but due to corruption in department money don't reach to the people hence no well built in the village but in government files it shows 75 wells built. Minnisha Lamba plays the role of young educated girl who was supported by Samir Dattani,  raise the voice against this corruption and then Boman Irani joins the band wagon and then everything falls into place as government comes to help and all wells built. That's why title is also very apt for the film 'Well Done Abba''. Boman Irani has done full justice to his both the roles and he is one who actually makes you laugh. Minnisha Lamba and Samir Dattani have learn more about acting. Ila Arun did satisfactory job with her role.

Supporting cast of the film has done very well. Especially Ravi KIshen steals the show whenever he comes on screen.As far as direction is concerned Shyam Benegal did a fantastic job as there is no dull moments in the film and it grips you till the end and make you laugh. All in all good movie to watch. I give it 4 star.
