An intelligent plot that is a reflection of the angst of almost every person in this city and country, A Wednesday is a film that keeps you pinned to the seat right till the end.
It's been quite a while since it's release and the appreciation is perhaps so strong that it has been an unsaid understanding not to reveal it's plot.
Needless to say, the performances are gripping, be it the stalwarts in the lead : Anupam Kher and Naseeruddin Shah or just about anybody- Jimmy Shergill and Amir Bashir are very impressive.
Also, the police is presented in a relatively positive light - a good balance of the thorough professionals and the complacent bunch. The spoof on TV channels today, is intelligently interwoven. A good film with riveting performances and direction, though the desperation may or may not be understood universally-bad for the film, good for the world!
