Hi friends. I am writing after a long break. I was too busy with my work. You know how it is in corporates, people who don't deny to do additional work, are imposed with more and more and more. Without any recognition of the efforts they are putting in. Anyways, part of life.

Anyways. With so much to do in work front, I managed to grab a couple of hours for one of my favourite shows, for which I got the invitation. Yes that is , We The People, Hosted by Barkha Dutt. I love watching this program. It is telecasted every Sunday 8 PM.

This is basically a talk show where there are 4 to 5 panelists, who speak the most on the topic and the audience are allowed to raise questions and give their comments. They cover varied topics from the current affairs. I was invited for the last to last week's episode as well. That was on India Shining.

The irony is that I am least interested in politics, but both the times I was invited for a hard core political topic. And both the episodes were worth it. The sole motivation for attending the last time was Barkha Dutt. But this time it was Sachin Pilot. He is one of the personalities I am very fond of. He is amazing. I had high regards for him, but now I guess I have completely fallen for him. No, I don't guess it, I ve fallen for him.

I sat just the row above his. I could have sat next to him, but didn't, because then, I could not have observed him that well.

Well the topic yesterday was, Should younger generation from different spheres of life, enter into politics? The panelists were Smriti Irani (Tulsi of saas bhi kabhi), Sachin Pilot, Navjot Singh Sidhu , Jay panda and Alka lamba.

Navjot was the most entertaining of the lot. He was on with all the appropriate phrases and quotes that he usually fires when he is commenting on a cricket match. But it was fun. Barkha had to control him from continuing to speak. He was going on and on.

Sachin Pilot , was the most silent of the lot. He spoke only when Barkha put questions on him and asked him an answer. His calm and composed nature is his best quality. When all the other panelists were shouting their hearts out, he was just silently listening to all of them. He has a very self assuring look and his silence displayed it very well in the show. As if, he knew what he was doing and he would definitely show it in action.

Otherwise all the other panelists were getting furious. Especially Alka Lamba and Smriti Irani kind of started fighting then and there on some issues. I hope you must have understood, they both are in different parties. So they got a platform to take out their frustration.

But otherwise, smriti irani is a very strong woman and she has the strength to make space in politics.

Overall, this has been a wonderful experience for me. I didn't make any points though. I could have, but I got a bit hesitant. Moreover, politics. Oops. I was scared that I would blurt out something irrelevant. So preferred to be quite. Anyways, I ve always been a very good observer and spectator.

The major points that were discussed here was:

Celebrity figure gets tickets very easily and they make use of their position of some other field, in politics to gain fame. For this, the panelists justified that they became celebrity by putting in hard work and that cannot be nullified.

There should be retirement age in politics because, the aged polititians fail to do justice to their position. Here, the argument placed was that experience cannot be replaced and that aged polititians are the most experienced.

The whole debate was going around these two major aspects. The audience participation was very good. But some were behaving weird, as in they were not giving back the mike to Barkha. And all others were screaming without a mike. Overall it was a hillarious show. Rest you can watch it for yourself on Sunday. Do give me the feedback.

This show is a major success according to me. Barkha is doing a wonderful job. And one more admiring part of this show was, that the whole show is taken care by females. Hats off to them.
