On independence day - 15th august we went to see "chak - de" at waves cinemas. Since that was the only place where tickets were available. I should have thought twice about why people are not going there for the movie. Well, so we went there and the first thing that we faced was parking. The parking was very expensive - 20/-. Well, I have parked almost everywhere and the max I have paid is 15/-. Even parking at sector 18 costs 10/-. And the parking space was not good enough - and did not seem safe enough.
And parking inside the mall was closed with a "no entry" sign. God knows why?? So after parking we walked to the box office to collect the tickets that I had booked online. And there was just one person handling all the tickets. All other counters were closed. It might be due to holiday.
But I believe holidays are days when there is maximum croud at most malls. And the malls generally try to make the full staff available on those days. So after standing in queue for 20 minutes and getting the tickets, we proceeded to the entry of the mall.
And the first thing we noticed was that there was no AC inside the mall and no shops to do any type of shopping. The only option available for eating was a ice-cream man. And there were no seats for sitting. So all we could do was stand in the terrible heat (without even a fan) and wait to gain entry inside the cinema hall. We could see the crowd building up. And there was no lady at security to check ladies hand bag.
So a guy was checking all ladies bags. Though once inside the movie hall - the experience was good.
The seats were comfy and the AC inside was good. When we came out of the movie hall, we wanted to go to the washroom. But enquiries from the ice-cream-man revealed that there were no washrooms outside the movie hall. So if you have to attend to a nature's call, you will have to rush off to some other place - most probably the nearby pacific mall. Maybe that's why all shops at the mall are closed now.
