Ride Experience:

Travel Convenience:

Initially we planned to reach Water Kingdom( WK) directly, but due to confusions about route we landed in Gorai village near the ferry. We parked our car in a parking lot and purchased tickets of ferry( Rs 35 per person, includes the return trip) . There is a fish market on the way from ticket counter to ferry, so be prepared for strong odour. In Ferry, safety jackets are not provided. Essel world's website claims that they have experienced staff and perform all prescribed periodic maintenance of ferries. A golden dome of Global Vipassana Pagoda is visible throughout the 10 minute ride.

After getting down, there are two gates: one for Essel World and other for Water Kingdom. Another train ride takes you to WK's ticket counter. We were able to jump long ticket queue, as we booked entry tickets on-line.( One has to carry printout of ticket and valid id-proof, just show the printout and collect your tickets at counter.) Next as per requirement, get( ladies or gents) lockers on rent by paying rent and deposit. The lockers key has a rubber loop and can be tied on wrist. You can go any time to your locker from park. There is a nice shop of swimwear. Nylon or Lycra swimwear is compulsory on all rides. Carrying any type of food items is not allowed except infant food inside park. We went on weekday of summer holiday( ticket rates were maximum.) . Inside everywhere you can see water n water. No footwear not allowed on rides. Some places you may have to walk on hot surface, get footwear from the park's shop.

Water Rides are amazing and thrilling. There was considerable queue for rides. The management should think of adding more rides, as there existing rides are not sufficient for visitors. We had a great time in cool blue coloured Wave-Pool. It is the most playful place in the park. Experienced smoothly rolling waves of height from 2 ft to 6 ft. Life guards are around. It is really a fantastic and fun-filled experience. We enjoyed playing with water in The Lagoon area, it is for all ages, with number of small rides/slides, water showers of different types. Elephant bucket: when full splashes water( around 500 ltrs) on you. A terrible and shocking experience lasts for few seconds. Be careful if your seating, someone may fall on you due to huge force of water. There are photographers - wearing blue T-shirts, written photographer on their back( can be spotted after a long search) . You can choose out of captured pics and get print outs or burned on CDs, while exiting from park.

Food: In Taipan: tasted Chinese food: had noodles and Manchurian. Another restaurant Food Wharf: is nicely managed, has indoor as well as outdoor seating arrangements. We had pav bhaji there. Food quality was good. It also offers buffet lunch. You have to do self-service everywhere. Also, several kiosks sell ice-creams, chole-bhature, pop-corns, etc. Rates are Ok.

I feel one can avoid crowd, if we arrive after 2pm. When we were leaving the park around 4pm, there were no queue at ticket counter, waiting queues for rides were shorter than it was during morning hours.
