I had been searching for a casio watch with all the features like altimeter, barometer, compass, thermometer etc for quite some time and I happened to see this PRG-240T-7DR from the protrek series. Watchkart.com had the lowest price(13k) when the listed price on casio india website was Rs.16, 995. Other sites like koovs.com, tradus.in also had the same product but with slightly higher prices(all the prices are after applying all available coupons and discounts). As I had never bought anything from watchkart.com, I did a little bit of searching to read the reviews about the website. Most of the reviews were talking about negative things and I was a little bit scared to order there. Tried to reach the customer care on the number listed on their website, but nobody picked it up. I was about to order on koovs.com when I noticed that they have something like'octroi charges extra' mentioned in the fine print. I wanted to know about it, but trying to contact their customer care always gave the same response that their customer care executives are all busy. Sent a mail to them with the queries and while waiting for the reply, I thought of trying out tradus.in as well. They did not provide a customer care call number at all. Dropped a mail to them as well with the questions that I had.
While waiting for reply from koovs and tradus, I happened to see the "online chat" option on the watchkart website. The guy at the other end was really helpful and he said he will arrange a call back for me. I received that call within few minutes and all my queries were answered promptly. The lady at the other assured that I will get the product with warranty card fully filled up and stamped as well, which was one of my major concerns with online purchase. She also assured that they can arrange for dispatch on the same day if I am placing an order with them. That sounded interesting because I wanted to have it before I leave the town in a few days.
In a few minutes after the call, I was placing the order on the website and I receive one more call. From watchkart again, assisting me while I place the order to make sure everything is working fine. I placed the order, and gave him the order number on phone.
Replies from koovs and tradus came in after some time, but obviously, they were late. I was already done with the purchase and I am glad that I did that at the website which offered the least price.
Now the most interesting part - to my surprise, the watch reached my home next day afternoon. That was the quickest delivery of an online purchase I have ever made - delivered within 24 hours!
As promised, the product came with neat packing, proper bill, warranty stamped and all those usual things. And moreover, the watch had hell lot of features than what I expected it to have.
Overall I am very happy with watchkart.com though I should say that there are issues with their website being slow and their customer care number not always easily reachable. But I do hope that they work on those issues. My advice - if you can't reach the customer care number, try the online chat on their website or use the call back option on the website. The people there are really helpful!
