This is my first review. After reading many reviews on this topic, I decided to write mine.
No prizes for guessing that most of the Mouthshut members who have supported this war are American. Interestingly, almost 99% of these members are women! Either there are very few men in America or they are not interested in seeking attention online by supporting the war. That is understandable since the men-women ratio in America is such that there are more women than men. ;-)
Wake up guys, the war is over. I am not going to write a review about the reasons of this war (like oil, and more oil, and some more oil, and weapon testing).
Instead, Akhil The Analyst will discuss some critical post-war questions.
Question 1: Will America get the Iraqi oil? Will it get the large UN funds that are supposed to be for the rehabilitation of Iraq?
Answer: This will depend on how concerned and active the other UN members are. If EU, Russia, Japan, China take effective action, it will be difficult for US to grab the oil and UN money.
Question 2: Will anybody stop America?
Answer: This again, depends on how seriously the other biggies react. They need the oil too. The intensity of their reaction will depend on the extent to which their interests are affected. If US try to harm their interests, they will certainly unite and we will see World War 3. Since many countries have nuclear power now, the end result of World War 3 will be total disaster.
Question 3: Will America take over Middle East?
Answer: That is already happening. They want to bring dollar currency in Middle East. The American Dollar is losing its value to its competitor called Euro. The economy needs Dollar to be strong. They will try everything. Besides, The Oil is what they are really after.
Question 4: Will American Economy improve due to the war?
Answer: In today’s world, all the major markets depend on each other. If the US economy improves, it will be good for India, too. Right now, their economy was going down, and they are trying to blame it on war. But, their economy would have gone done, even without the war. So, no immediate improvement is in sight.
Question 5: Did USA spend a lot of money on this war?
Answer: Not at all. They are lucky; they will get oil and money without much investment.
Well, they anyway pay their troops- war or no war.
WMD cannot be kept forever. They have a limited shelf life. Instead of dismantling them, the USA threw it on Iraqi human beings.
Question 6: Will the American people be happier after the war?
Answer: This is one country that consumes 50% of the total anti-depressant drugs worldwide. These people have reached the ‘beyond repair’ state. Besides, the big War Profit will go to Bush, his top bracket, and big companies. It won’t go to ordinary Americans.
I recently read a review here by an american(lady ,ofcourse!) about her fantasy regarding the killing of Saddam Hussain. A perfect example of how sick -minded and frutrated these people(read: ladies) are !
Question 7: Will America attack India?
Answer: Not likely. India is a big market, and the US MNC gang needs it. They won’t finish India. They need their slaves to stay alive.
India does not have power to fight America, but it will not be as easy as Iraq. If at all the Americans attack, they will lose.
Question 8: Should India respond positively if America tries to befriend India?
Answer: Only if Indians want to get killed!
India had given some support to Russia during the cold war, and overall India had remained neutral.
USA, at this moment, is the Most Hated Nation in the world. They have lost their friends, goodwill, and credibility. An increasingly friendless USA will now try to woo India- Pakistan. They befriended Laden, Taliban, Saddam Hussain, and later tried to kill them.
Being America’s friend means losing the support of Russia and EU. India cannot afford that. Being America’s friend also means inviting the wrath of the Muslim World. India cannot afford that either.
Question 9: Which is bigger threat? Islamic fundamentalism or American Imperialism?
Answer: “Islamic fundamentalism’ is actually a strategy of the UK-USA to promote their interests. They have created this concept and nurtured it. The British did it in India and they still use it often. But, both are threats, and are equally dangerous. Ideally, both should be used against each other to reduce the power of both.
Question 10: Is Bush a bad guy?
Answer: It will be unfair to Mr. Bush. You cannot blame one man. Imagine the pressures and compulsions that he is likely facing. It’s the big businesses- they have always controlled American strategies.
Question 11: Should the world hate America?
Answer: No. It is not right to condemn all americans. Not all of them are bad.The world cannot do without the US, we need them for our economies, and we need them for making consumer products, we need them for cracking jokes about, and above all, we need to see them as an example of how dissatisfied and messed up human lives can be, and we should learn from their mistakes.
