A Case for NO WAR ever again.

There was a buzz in the air - His holiness – Sri Doss Maharaj finally wrote a review on Peace. Excitedly I logged on to MS to read his words of wisdom, only to be disappointed.

‘Sir, such a long wait and so few words’ -  I asked bewildered. ‘And I don’t quite understand the message – NO GOD, NO PEACE; KNOW GOD, KNOW PEACE. – Haven’t all the major wars in the world been fought in the name of GOD? People claim to know god and then go to war with those who don’t believe in their god.

“They are fools, they don’t understand GOD”

“Sir, then what/who is the real GOD, please enlighten me.”

“Its late, go to sleep, you will get the answers by tomorrow morning” the master replied enigmatically.

And so I went to sleep and in my dreams I had a vision, vision of his holiness himself. Smilingly, he said  -

“Son, now I will take you back into parallel dimensions of time,  when the Britishers were the masters of our land”

And there, I was in British India, but in a different timeline. The British rulers had divided the country into several units based on language, caste/religion. Instead of one united India there were several small, separately administered provinces - Maharashtria, Khalistan, Pakistan, Karnatakia, Tamil Nadia, Bengalia, etc. Its year 1947  - the time of independence – our British rulers have decided to leave the subcontinent. The citizens of all the provinces had a choice to make, either to retain their separate identities or merge into a single nation. Sadly, the people decided that their regional identities were more important and choose to retain their separate nationalities.

A shift in vision, and I was in the year 2003. And what do I see?

I see a troubled sub-continent teeming with millions divided into 25 separate, poor, problem-ridden-third-world nations.

In Mumbai, at a suburban railway station, a bomb blast has claimed 30 innocent lives. Police suspect the involvement of separatists from Belgaun who have been fighting for decades for liberation of Belgaun from Maharashtria and merger with Karnatakia. Union Home minister Maggan Bhujbal, for the umpteenth blasted Karnatakia for sponsoring terrorist activities and warned that if Karnatakia didn’t stop this proxy war, we will have a “Saamna of Aar & Par”………….

Meanwhile the Queen of Tamilnadia, Maharani Jayalalitha threatened Karnatakia that if it didn’t release the waters of Cauvery for her parched subjects, then she will ensure that blood will flow instead of water from the rivers of Cauvery – “Khoon se Cavery bahegi” she thundered.

In Lalooland, a civil war is going on between the Laloo’s troop and the rebels of Jharkhand fighting for a separate homeland. The rebels have entered the capital city of Patna and the city has turned into a ghost town with thousands of dead bodies

In Gujaratia, a Muslim-hating fanatical, fascist has come to power. Using emotive issues of Gujarati “pride” and blaming Muslims for all the troubles, he has been elected the Prime monster of Gujaratia. Soon after coming to power, he had decided to follow the path of his Guru Shri Adolf Hitler and killed thousands of Muslims through state-orchestrated communal riots.

In neighboring Pakistan, which is now the biggest and most powerful of all countries in the subcontinent, General Musharaff is eying greedily the wealth of the Gujaratis. Using the communal riots as an excuse, he has decided to invade Gujaratia to liberate the suffering Muslim minority. The Prime Minister of Maharashtria, jealous of Gujaratia’s prosperity and also eying the substantial Muslim vote, has decided to support Musharaf in his plans and offered Mumbai’s Naval bases for use to Pakistani Navy. This has angered the opposition leader – Baal Thakeray, who has now threatened a civil war if the PM doesn’t rescind the decision.

Another shift in vision – I’m in future – year 2005 – and I see wars everywhere, Mumbai in flames, Bangalore burning, the Pakistani empire expanding as President Mush embarks on a holy war between Muslims and Hindus, communal riots everywhere, millions killed….bomb blasts, terror attacks, food shortages…people dying of diseases and starvation.

End of Vision… and Sri Doss Maharaj appeared again. Holy Cow! What was that? I screamed - I couldn’t understand the message, my guru was conveying with this vision straight out of hell(I’ve trouble thinking when I am in a sleeping/dreaming state)

His holiness calmed me down and said – “Isn’t the message crystal clear? This vision would have been your reality had our forefathers not decided to elevate ourselves from Maharashtrians, Gujaratis etc to Indians.

How embarrassingly stupid it now appears – a war between Maharashtra and Karnataka over a district, a war between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu for control of river waters. The problems between various states exist and are difficult to solve, but none of us would want to solve such problems through war. We would rather have unsolved disputes rather than solve these dispute through frequent wars. So now what makes Kashmir different from Belgaum? Isn’t it just another piece of real estate?

The moment we elevate ourselves from Indians to Global citizens, we would feel as stupid going to war over Kashmir as we would feel if we were to be warring over Belgaun or any other disputed district.

The moment we realize the unity of all mankind, we sink our differences and live in harmony.

Now do you understand my message in the review? GOD IS ALL THERE IS. God is creation. We are all parts of all there is, a part of Creation. We are all one, all parts of God. Once we understand the true nature of God, there would be end of all conflicts.

KNOW GOD, KNOW PEACE

KNOW GOD, KNOW PEACE

KNOW GOD, KNOW PEACE

Vision fades and I wake up .

Wow! What words of wisdom! What a genius! What a way to convey the message of Peace.

I, your humble servant, bow before thee and promise to devote my life towards spreading this message of Peace.

Sri Doss Maharaj ki jay!
