!~*Come To Laugh..Come To Cry..Come To Terms*~!. Review on Waqt - A Race Against Time

Hi MS friends! Guess what? This is one of the most happiest days of my life! You know why? I’ll tell you…..EXAMS ARE OVER!!!! :P :P Hehe….and last night I watched this film, and could you believe I’m watching a hindi film since like 2 months now! Yes…you can see how much krazy4sonu who is now krazy4schoolbook has studied so much! :D Anyways here it comes to the point of this review…im not going to waste any of your WAQT.

WAQT- A Race In Time tells the story of a man and his son….and their relationship. The way they both deal with things whether happy or sad. The things the father has in mind for his son and the way they both look up to each other. That father is Ishwarchand Thakur, who is the owner of a toy manufacturing company and who has worked very hard in pride to bring himself and his family into the position he is now than back at that time when he was a postman. He is a man considered to be very lucky to have everything he needs. He also has a son, Aditya and a very caring wife Sumi and without both of them, I don’t think he would be where he is now. Now Ishwarchand has very high expectations for his son. He wants his son to help him in his family business, but Aditya does not want to follow his fathers dreams and take his side. He also gets married to the one and only girl that he loves, Pooja. Aditya has much better dreams in becoming a star! Ishwarchand’s life gets lonely without his son..and he doesn’t feel the same without his son, while his wife always tells him about the way he pampers his son and spoil him in his fathering love! So then Aditya is kicked out of the family that he once had and actually still has but will fully be when he is ready to be a responsible son. Will Ishwarchand every forgive Aditya? Will Aditya also ever get to be the star he always wanted to be?

Characters

Amitabh Bachchan- Ishwarchand Thakur

I was so surprised to see the way he acted in this film! He seemed so active for his age as well. He was given the role that he is always meant to be given in films like this. Hehe…it was also very nice seeing him on a Jet Ski! Really kewl! He only seemed like the hero of the film. His comedy was really good and so were his expressions at certain parts. He deserves a lot for playing such a really good role and making really good use of the role he was given.

Akshay Kumar- Aditya

He did a bit of overacting but as always makes a successful performance in almost all his films! He is usually really good in action roles! Wo “Fighting” wali films! In the film he looked really good when he was having very serious fights with his father! It was more like the role he needs in films! But very good acting and chemisty with father and son where really good! :D

Priyanka Chopra- Pooja

Hmm..well her role didn’t really impress me that much but she was there only to complete Akshay’s role! They both also have a really good chemistry between each other…and have gotten very use to each other after doing a few very successful films together! Nothing much to say about her but good acting.

Shefali Shah- Sumi

One word for her…..Brilliant! Loved her acting and it seemed so real. She played a very good role in the film. The role as the mother of Akshay really suited her and her face expressions are more than enough to make you smile or make you very impressed!

Rajpal Yadav- Laxman

LOL…..gosh..just looking at him in the film made me laugh! He acted really good! I mean there was always this mark that you would find after his sentences! And that mark is “?”..hehe..he will ask so unnecessary questions and looked like a total budhu! Really hilarious acting!

Music

The music wasn’t really my type! I found the music quite dull..that also such a big music director Anu Malik! I was shocked and expecting something different referring to the story!

Subah Hogi Hmm….well its more like that same old filmi sorta song which has no freshness in it at all!

Singers: Udit Narayan & Alka Yagnik

Miraksam Okay…a sort of umm…the song that all family stories would always have in them! But Anu Malik..er…nice try though! :D Oh and yeah..it was sort of a shock seeing him in this song! That also as the DJ!! Chiiii!!!! :P

Singers: Sonu Nigam, Sudesh Bholsale, Sunidhi Chauhan & Mahalaxmi Iyer

Apne Jahan Ke Well..the music was ok types…nothing really good that I found about it but picturised on Amitabh and Akshay!

Do Me A Favour Lets Play Holi I totally 101% despise this song! That also Anu Malik sang the song! A note to Anu Malik: Your wordings of songs are more than enough! Please DON’T sing them!!! To my amazement I found sweet little Sunidhi’s voice in there…but was not expecting something like this from her!

Chup Jaa Practically the only song I liked in the film and it was also very well picturised!

Singers: Sonu Nigam & Sunidhi Chauhan

Now there was nothing much to say about the songs! They weren’t that good! Complete 0 to what I had imagined. But yes...one thing I appreciated from Anu Malik! That is that he put Sonu Nigam to do most of his songs! :P :P :P

My Thoughts On The Film

Sort of the same old typical hindi film! Nothing special in it that gives you the spark of a real and unforgettable hindi film! I am an Akshay Kumar fan that yes…but this was more like a dissapointment to me! I think I was better off with my school book I guess…but it is good time pass when you are bored..the only problem it will make you even more bored! :S..so im clueless! But If you must see this film…then watch it.
