I have to say at the start that I am biased about this movie because I like both Akshay and AB, and its been a long time since I watched Akshay on the big screen sigh.

The story goes like this...Akshay's father, AB, has spoilt him completely and Akshay spends a lot of money. He wants to be an actor but doesn't do much about it. Now AB has a secret. Since I don't want to give away spoilers, for those who wish to know the secret, scroll down to the Spoilers section and you can read it. AB is under pressure due to the secret and wants Akshay to improve his ways as soon as possible. He tells Akshay that if he earns Rs. 100,000 in a few months then AB will not nag him about earning and doing something with his life. Akshay does not take all this seriously. Finally AB kicks him out of the house and insults him on many occasions. Priyanka is Akshay's wife and she is pregnant. So Akshay works hard, and in the end when he comes to know AB's secret he is filled with remorse.

I liked the comedy in this movie, between AB and his samdhi. I am not a Priyanka fan, but she has had some good hits and I believe she has matured as an actress. I loved the clothes she and Akshay wore! Shefali Chhaya as AB's wife was okay, she didn't really stand out, but then her role was less significant. I found it refreshing to see a doting father. Most of the Hindi movies have the mother as doting, so this was a refreshing change. I guess had there been a mother in AB's place, there would have been more crying and dialogues like 'maine tumhe apni kok se janam diya... blablabla'. I guess I should have taken buckets to fill with their tears because as it is there has been no water at my place due to maintenance. All of them cry sooooo much in the movie and there is a lot of melodrama to the point that it becomes a drag. But overall I found it to be a good watch. I guess I would recommend it to people who do not mind such emotional movies, and a definite no-no for those who are more into action.

SPOILERS

AB is suffering from cancer, and does not have much to live. Hence the urgency of wanting Akshay to be successful as soon as possible.
