Simple and Sweet film!. Review on Wake Up Sid

Wake up Sid!When I think of this movie, first thought that comes to my mind is Simple and Very Very sweet movie.

Very straight forward film with no major twist and turns. Just a gradual transformation from college pass out to the real life i.e. career, relationship with mom, dad and your love life.

Movie starts with college exams and all the masti of college life. Which we can easily co-relate. If you have just passed out from the college, than believe me you will definitely refresh those special moments of your college life. And then after college you will be expected to grow up and do the job or something and this is what expected from Sid also.

But, Sid is not ready to do this. But, that doesn't mean that Sid is bad guy and he is having bad habits. He is very easy going kind of person and believe in enjoying the life. Only thing is, he is lazy and careless. Obviously, this doesn't go well with parents. But, he gradually transformed. He got job, he becomes more what we call as mature person. How he transforms is what this movie all about. So don't think that this film is about college life. But, yes this film is all about youth and is a must watch for urban youth. This transformation is very intelligently mixed with his relationship with Ayesha (Koakana) and creates lots of happy and sweet moments which will bring smile to your face. So, in short this movie is transformation of Sid which deals with more of a relationship aspects which includes: mom, dad, friends and love life.

It is a fun film. Even if there are some serious scenes, but they will definitely be followed by humorous scenes. This is what happens in the real life of young guys. No matter, how much serious the matter is they will always find something to funny about it and enjoys it fully and they will celebrate also. If you are such a person than this film is specifically made for you only. Go and watch it.

Movie is just perfect as far as length of movie, performances are concerned. As it should be, it is about Sid, and what a great performance from Ranbir. He just excelled this kind of role of carefree young guys. He looks killer and became angry, sweet, mature, childish and whatever else was demanded from him in the movie with very ease. Konkana as usual perfect acting and looks stunning (if you consider simplicity is the best thing). Director Ayan Mukarji has made a great debut and made no mistakes. It is not about great story but about moments which every can relate with and understand, and man, he delivered it with utmost perfection. Special credit to Shankar, Ehsan and Loy. Music is awesome it is really beautiful.

Absolutely must for urban young people. Although you can go with your family, but I advise you to go with your friends. If you are expecting great story and unique concept than absolutely no for “Wake up Sid!” I hope this review will help you to decide whether you should watch this film or not.
