Wall-E is an animation film, period. That is enough to drive away most movie buffs, including me. But it does do a good job of capturing hearts. It's directed by Pixar studios(more tech-talk at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WALL-E)
Wall-E is a robot - cleaning away junk on earth as mankind leapt into space for a "vacation" in a habitable, computer-controlled spaceship called Axiom. Occasionally, Axiom sends probes to check conditions on Earth to see if it is suitable for "recolonization" - but the vacation turns out to be rather very long - stretching more than 700 years.
The scenes are intriguing until Wall-E comes across one of the probes. What follows is really comical and romantic, as Wall-E adores the beautiful probe named Eve. Well, you may ask what romance can be portrayed between robots? Its a romance so much more compelling than bodily-attraction or figures, the director leaves you spellbound.
Now, after 700 years, Eve finds out that Earth is again habitable, and what follows is a big chase involving comedy, drama and a twisted turn of events in Space, Axiom and Earth, which you have to see to believe!
Each character,
including - the Cockroach in earth, Captain of Axiom, Repaired robots -
and more, will catch a place in the storyline as well as your hearts.
Now this is not a "cute" kids movie just because it's animated. Its something you can watch instead of Saturday-night romance in HBO with your spouse, or you can watch with friends instead of the regular Friday-night action. Give it a try and you will never regret!
