I purchased a VU TV model LC-32HU18S a few years back. I am satisfied with its performance. But I am sorely disappointed with their local helpline.
A few months back, I requested their Mumbai helpline to assist me in installing a chromecast module. I could not succeed with the self installation instructions. VU helpline inquired about the details of the model number, date of purchase, warranty coverage etc. and agreed to send their technician. Their technician visited me subsequently and found out that my model was not capable of supporting the chromecast. He collected the service charges of Rs 750 and left.
When I subsequently complained to their helpline at Mumbai that they should have discovered the fact that my VU model did not support the chromecast. from their specs. And they should have not have sent the technician subsequently and let me incur the Rs 750 service charges.
After agreeing to refund my money, they retracted later on and refused to reimburse my amount of Rs 750.
