A place which once served as Lord Krishna's childhood abode, Vrindavan is a popular religious tourist spot and considered to be a very sacred place for the Hindus.

The city of Vrindavan hosts hundreds of Lord Krishna and Radha temples scattered throughout, the most famous ones being Banke Bihari temple, ISKCON temple. The vibrant surroundings perfectly depicts the playful and benevolent nature of Lord Krishna. Also known as Vrindavan, this city derives its name from the groves of Brinda and Vana meaning forest.

Being a congested area, it is most convenient to travel on foot or by cycle rickshaws.

How to reach Vrindavan:-

The nearest railway station is at Mathura(12km) and the nearest airport at Delhi(142km). Taxis are available for transport to the destination. State buses connect Vrindavan to other neighbouring cities. You can easily get sharing autos to and from Mathura at all times - these charge only around 40 rs per trip.

October to March are the best months to visit Vrindavan.
