I purchased a1.5 TR Voltas Vertis split A/c on August 2009, even after knowing about their poor service. I realized what a fool I have been. The remote controller malfunctioned from 6 months after installation. Their Thane Rep, M/s Entice Engrs. carried out the first of two free service, even without my contacting Voltas. They replaced the cells in the remote and assured that the problem had been rectified. I was lulled into a false sense of assurance that Voltas must have scheduled my service after scanning their computer record of sales. Alas, I was proved wrong within a short period of 1 year. When the remote controller failed again, I contacted M/s Entice Engrs., who assured me that their rep would call soon.
Even after two reminders, when no one called up, I contacted Voltas through their help line. Voltas' rep visited and said that the remote was defective and had to be replaced at a cost of Rs1200. When I pointed out that it was their rep. Ms Entice Engrs fault that they did not carry out the second free service, I was told that M/s Entice Engrs. was no more their authorized rep. I refused to accept their charge of Rs1200 for a new remote since I felt that I would have insisted on a free replacement of the malfunctioning remote if they had carried out their second service.
Now I am left with a malfunctioning remote and unsympathetic Voltas personnel.
