Purchased this air cooler 15 days back and lodged a complaint with voltas for following reasons:
Water Level Indicator is not working as expected. It shows full when the tank is full but will never go below the medium lwvwl when the tank is empty.
Grass on the left side of the pads is not getting wet, proabably an issue with water pump.
One of the wheel is defective and the cooler shakes indefinitely when we move it.
After the complaint was lodged( 7/4) I got an sms that the appointment is fixed for the 9/4 at 10am. To my surprise nobody turned up that day. And I just got busy and ignored it for a week. On 15/4 received a call from the service guy asking for address, was happy that atleast they turned up. He came home chewing pan masala( so he wasn't speaking much) and convinced my family members( I was not at home) that water level indicator is working fine and also pump is working fine and agreed that the wheel is defective and he will replace in 2 days. He asked for a service fee of 100, even though the cooler is new and in warranty which was paid by my dad. After coming home that night I see the same problem again, the water level indicator is on medium even though there's no water in the cooler. I immediately called Voltas toll free customer care and asked them why it took them 8 days to send the guy for repair, the answer was like we have many requests coming up so we are running late for service( such a stupid answer) . You don't have service staff but you guys are selling products in the market.
My view is clear guys, the service is very poor by voltas. Don't go by the brand name or you will be disappointed, however the product is good but that does not make sense when you have a good and quick service network to solve customer problems. Ignore Voltas and go for other brands.
