I was just thinking of buying a compact suv, shortlisted tiguan which is newly launched luxury suv from volkswagen. This car is a 5 seater suv that comes with 2.0 litre engine option. This car delivers average of 18kmpl which us quite decent for an suv. But the problem is this car comes at a whooping price of 31 lakhs ex showroom for its highline model. One could buy a bmw x1 for this price which has a better road presence and better brand value than tiguan. This car was perfect if it was priced near to the hyundai tucson around 20 lakhs but hopefully volkswagen had some other plans in mind for tiguan thats why it has priced it near to german luxury cars from bmw, audi etc.
Nevertheless this car has a good interior and exterior and its quite comfortable too. It has one downside too that it sits quite low due to low ground clearance thats very bad for an SUV.
It is good for daily use but its highly expensive.
