This is my first review on mouth shut, I have been reading the reviews on cars in this website, I was planning to buy car for past one year but was in Dilemma to go for Petrol car or Diesel. I drive daily 70 - 80 km and considering the high petrol prices and long waiting at CNG filling stations, I finally settled my mind for Diesal Car. Initiall options was Ritz VDI, Swift VDI, I 20, ford Figo TDI. Tata Cars was not at all in the list.
I am much particular about the looks of the car but also the value for money factor was there in my mind . Ritz VDI was the options bcz of comparitively less waiting period then Swift. seriously speaking I booked this car at DD motors delhi but was not happy considering the looks of the car. I hate Ritz looks also when you drive this car 120 km /hr it gives bumpy feeling .
Mileage is good if we look into the reviews but 1 -2 km hardly makes any difference. then I opted for Swift VDI, but rumours were coming for new model launch of Swift also the waiting period of car was 6 month which was too much for me. same thing with hyundai i20. I liked I 20 but its on road average is awfull . few of my friends are driving this car and they are not even touching 12km / litre average with this car.then I visited ford figo showroom, the car was available ready delivery. but when I took the test drive I didnt like the pickup of the car. BHP is less and also the bad bad second hand market value. I felt like as they have done some changes in old Ford fusion car and befooling the people. I seriously didnt liked . the same day iwas walking out from ford showroom at moti nagar my husband insisted me to look for volkswagen car, the showroom is located just beside the ford showroom. I had the assumption that the Volks wagen car are very expensive and will be out of budget. then finally I visited the showroom and took the test drive of diesal Polo.It was awesome feeling best pickup, great looks, secured feeling inside the car. nice interiors, no bumpyness, I touched 140 km for 30 seconds on traffic road and didn't feel any insecurity, bumpiness, disbalance feeling. it was awesome. when I came out of the car it was the time to talk about the process.
The trendline model was onroad 598000.00 if I am not taking the extended warranty and showroom offered accessories package. body package etc. actually I didnt want also all those package, I was looking for the car with RTO insurance and logistics charges. so it was 5.98 laks on road. the second model was comfortline with no much difference in features and price difference of 70 k . the additional feature was rear power windows, adjustable driver seat, 40:60 ratio rear folding seats, body colour door handles and side glass. etc. I didnt feel like paying 70 k for just few features hence I booked trendline the executive assured me 30 days for the delivery which was pretty ok for me. but just after 2 days I got call that red colour comfortline is in transit and considering my VIP number which I took from RTO should not expire I Insisted them to give this car to me.as I was in hurry to buy the car . since the day I took the test drive I was crazy for this car and somehow I settled my mind to pay little more and settle this deal early to fly my red hot bird on road .
Finally I am enjoying the drive of this red beauty its Polo TDI comfortline. I paid 6.60 thousand after deduction of 10k corporate discount. in accesories I spend 40k more I put pioneer 2390 D 5 inch LCD bluetooth stereo, reverse senser, central locking etc.
The car has excellent AC, Awesome suspensions, Best Powerstering in its class
now comes the question of average it gave me 22 km per litre when I drove this car full time AC. maximum time in 5th gear with 55 - 60km speed.
in high speed of 80km - 120 km it has given me the average of 16.5 - 17 km .
Maruti cars are not even in list of comparison.if you compare with the technology and comfortness of VW cars. the tough body . and the complete secured feeling even if the car is in 140 km per hour speed . I have completed 2500 kms in one month
The Company offeres fist service after 15000 kms which is also exceptional thing I found .
pickup is excellent . people talk about 3 cylinder or 4 cylinders huh. who cares for this. its hardly markeble in practical feel of driving.
What I feel after driving this car is that I have made the best decision. a different car, the best car . the awesome killing looks . sporty feeling while driving this red beauty and the Economy .
I am getting the best average with best loooks in this class.
