Polo gt tsi is 105 hp car. Secondly torque is 180 nm that remains constant from 1800rpm to all the way to 5500 rpm. its pretty heavy car. heavier than maruti suzuki swift petrol. I found out that automatic gears are really not that needed. After driving this car now for 3000kms I miss manual gears a lot. Its not that automatic gears don't function well., they do but automatic gears takes away the art of driving your vehicle as per your wish. Suppose I am climbing a hill with manual gears I would put the gear to 3rd, but its my wish to change the gears here. In automatic versions you lose this independence. Being a heavy car its stable too.The finish is top notch. Better than Maruti Suzuki, priced at 9 lacs this car does not have enough space inside specially the rear seats. But it does have good size boot space better than Maruti Suzuki Petrol. Maruti Suzuki Petrol I have driven that before this.

Tell you the difference here. That car was pretty light with 84hp. It really used to go like zip, zap, zoom. But Polo has automatic gears and when you drive in D mode i.e. drivemode you don't feel it has power in it. But change it to S mode or sports mode. Man you feel, you have purchased a racing car. That's good in certain aspects and bad also. When I purchased this vehicle I was lured by S mode. Which was biggest blunder of mine! Frankly guys if you have plenty of money then go for this car, otherwise stay away.

Better to put in 2 lacs more and get SUV. For me now, speed doesn't matter, as I am already 38 years old. on highways this car is one big bomb. It can go cruise at 150 kmph easily. But again Indian roads you know how they are, not a very practical choice to buy this car. If you have 9 lacs with you better to go for SUV diesel one. because speed in India is slow. Now some people claim they drive at 140 kmph. There are only few highways in india where you can drive at this speed. Not practical to purchase Polo GT TSI. Please guys I made a wrong decision don't give comments that increase my tension. Mileage wise this car gives 14-16 kmpl. Highest mileage I got was 18kmpl. I drive this car mostly below 60 kmph in city and on highways I have taken it to 120 kmph. I feel this car is not for india, but for Germany. Where on Autobahn you can race your heart out.
