Have you suffered with balance deductions from your main account/ balance.

I have.

I've activated bonus pack to reduce call charges and SMS pack for 100 National/Local SMS everyday. In-spite of that, I had some deductions made by Vodafone for SMS that I sent. Last week, I tried to use *111# and My Vodafone app to find this irritating balance deduction by Vodafone.

After talking to few process oriented customer care executives, I got pissed off and wrote to Vodafone authorities for explanation in writing. I'm going to insert few points from our letters.

*To Vodafone on 10.12.13

There is something called sms activation/ renewing/ crediting time everyday between 12 am - 2 am and anyone who sends sms in this time will be charged accordingly. What is the entire point of someone spending for SMS PACKS and lose money during your activation/ renewing/ crediting time everyday. The brilliant recommendation given by your CUST CARE was to recharge with another sms pack. Isn't that irritating.

If this is your process,

Why was sms activation/ renewing/crediting time everyday between 12 am - 2 am, not explained to me by CUST CARE while activating the pack.

Why isn't the Vodafone website telling me about sms activation/ renewing/ crediting time everyday between 12 am - 2 am.

How about your app?

How about the tariff sheet the retailers have?

How about your third party recharging platforms?

Did *121# explain sms activation/ renew time/ crediting everyday between 12 am - 2 am

Anyone?

Now, in this case why should I lose my money. So either credit the amount that you've taken during sms activation/ renew time everyday between 12 am - 2 am or cancel the SMS PACK in my account and refund the pack's cost. If you can't do any of these, send the rejection and explanation in email.

From Vodafone on 12.12.13

Please be informed that on recharge of Rs.47/- 100 local and national SMS/per day would be credited to your account with a validity of 28 days.

Further, we wish to inform thatall outgoing SMS sent between 12am to 3 am will be chargeable irrespective of the pack.

We would like to bring it to your notice that the reversal has been taken up from our end as a one-time exception and would not be able to facilitate further. We thank you for your patient understanding.

We have noted your feedback of our call center executive. We assure you that this is not reflective of our approach to customer service. We would like to inform you that we have initiated necessary corrective action and assure you of better services in future.

We appreciate you for bringing this to our attention and thank you for your understanding.*

Finally Vodafone reversed the deductions on 12.12.2013. If you've lost your money because of reasons that you were not informed in detail(while activating/availing offer or pack), write to Vodafone authorities. Vodafone will be HAPPY TO HELP after irritating you.
