Trouble of misleading plan & promo

My trouble began when I took a corporate plan from Vodafone with the assurance from the sales executive that the STD charges under the plan is 1.30/min.


To begin with, it took 3 days for my number to be activated instead of the 2 days promised to me. Accepting this, I started using the phone service and started making STD calls. I always suspect the promo schemes by unethical MNCs and decided to confirm it with Vodafone for my STD plan charge. To my surprise they confirmed it is 2.25 rs/min. I told them that I was promised the STD charge of 1.30 rs/min but the call centre executive was least interested in accepting and kept repeating that the plan shows 2.25 rs/min. & he cant help it. I then called up my executive who assured me that it was 1.30 rs/min.


But I cannot buy them as they merely want to sale & cheat people. I then visited the Vodafone store. Here I asked them to lodge a complaint. But they were worst than the call centre executive. they initially said that cannot do anything on corporate plans. I asked them to give the number where I can lodge a complaint. The answer I got was most pathetic -


That inspite of being vodafone strore they dont have any corporate manager number. I was hell bent on regestring the complaint. I told them I am not going to leave this until my complaint is lodged and I get the number. Finally the manager came out of his sleepy cabin and took my complain and gave me an area manager number instead of corporate relationship number as they dont have way to get the required information. I was told that some one from Vodafone will get back to me within 48hrs but I got call after good 5 days when I called them twice in between.


The executive response was the last thing I had to hear. When I asked why my tariff plan is not being changed inspite of it being promised, he said that it was the promo offer and Vodafone has stopped it. On being asked why I wasnt informed about it, he replied it is not their policy..shitty answer from an ignorant executive. I found that the promo was stopped after 3 days I submitted my application and I brought to his notice and he said that there was delay in activating my service and hence could not give that benefit to me.


So I now realised that it is always the customer who has to suffer for the inadequacies of the company. there are no ethics in Vodafone for thier customer and they are happy to help without providing promised service to the customer.


I am really frustated with their approach, their intentions of not providing the promised service and their custome service.


I caution everybody on selecting any promo or non promo Vodafone product.
