Lets go through the basic details of my vodafone prepaid connection.Am using a connection named "my friends and family" which was launched by Hutch 2 years backin Delhi NCR circle.It offers national SMS at 25 paise and calls to 5 national numbers at 1 rupee per min and u have to pay a rent of 7 rs in a week for the same..everything was going so smooth till the last month.I had to go to kerala for 2 weeks and there was no coverage of vodafone there, so I took a local connection from there for 2 weeks.But to my surpise when I retured back to Delhi I found my tarrif changed. im made to pay 2 Rs per sms and making things worst vodafone is charging the rent of 7 rs still..so am paying the rent without the service.
From here the main story starts, I was really frustrated by all this.Then came the thought of dialing the Vodafone care( remember the ad..HAPPY TO HELP U).let me first warn u before dialling vodafone customer care , u r gonna find the customer care executives who wont even understand a single word of english.
I called nearly 3 times and the reply was the same" our system is under upgradation and plz dial after 4 hours and we will be happy to help you".And the next day I dialled again and the reply was shocking.Their customer care executive told me that since my balance went negative( 2 weeks rent of 7rs) and I didnt recharge for 2 weeks so all my services are deactivted from server which cant be resumed again.I was wondering how rutheless can a telecom company be.I use this connection to be in contact with my frnds and family in kerala, I nearly make STD calls worth 3, 000 a month.So that alone makes 72, 000RS in last 2 years and these maroons deactivated all my service since I didnt recharge for 2 weeks and that too for a mere 14 Rs.
And yeah! let me tell you one more thing.I used to get numerous calls from vodafone telemarketing people to migrate me to postpaid since am a heavy user( a Valued customer in Vodafon's words). I was fed up with all these and opted for "DO NOT DISTURB" and fortunately for me it got activated..Now if anyone thinks that they can get rid of telemarketers by opting for "do not disturb" then think again, everytime u call the vodafone care, it doesnt matter weather they solve your query or not but thier customer care executives will make sure that they will let u know about all their postpaid connection offers and will pester you to take the same.I wonder weather Vodafone is left with any dignity and shame, they cant solve your problem but still they want you to take their postpaid connection.
I was really pissed off with all this and its when I decided the call the so called Nodal officer( You have to call this SIR in case the vodafone care people doesnt solve your problem)..i called him on a monday morning at 10 when I got a pre recorder message that " We work only from monday to friday from 9:30am to 6pm so plz write to us).So MR Nodal officer didnt show up to his office even at 10..tried calling him at 10:30 and fortunately I didnt hear the prerecorded message again but guess what , even after trying for 1 hour I coudnt talk to him because this guy is busy all the time.maybe he has thousands of unsatisfied customers like me to attend...
And the Worst of this all, we hve to set 5 numbers so that we can call them at 1 rupee per min(friends and family)..now I cant dial those 5 numbers from my connection because due to some server error they not only blocked my service but also blocked those 5 numbers.
Now, I have decided enough is enough..Im moving to some other service provider.HUTCH was much much better.These Vodafone people just know to suck your money and give no service for the same.
