I have been a customer with Hutch/Vodafone for the last 4.5 years. Initially I was satisfied by the services provided by Hutch but since the last year or so the service have been degrated from bad to worse. I remember when I had to active International roaming on my corporate connection they asked me to send them my Passport copy and even after sending them this information they took a lot of followup to get my services activated. That was one hell of a experience.
Then when I tried to activate GPRS, I called customer service and they infored me to send an SMS to a particular number I tried twice but no luck. I called them back and informed that the SMS service is not working and the CSR said that the server is down and I needed to send the request again later. I still dont understand why do the CSR's dont take these requests.
Forget that, this is the story of the past, My company contacted Vodafone to active GPRS on my number finally and they responded that the service has been activated, but there is no mention about it on the Vodafone website under my account. And when I call Vodafone care, there is no menu in thier IVR to talk to a customer care executive for my issue.
Summary: The company has changed and with it the customer service parameters have changed as well. This is the time for me to break my loyalty with hutch and move over to another service provider.
