I carried a roaming West Bengal vodafone connection to Bangalore. I had bought the connection after submitting my papers, id card and photo. I was in Bangalore for about three months. I started getting messages to say my papers were not submitted and they would disconnect my line. I tried to resubmit my papers in Bangalore.
They accepted it in the Cox Town office but did not do anything to resume the connection. Later they said they cannot do anything for outstation connections but could not return my papers. On my return to Calcutta, I reported this to Vodafone office. This time they resumed my connection and advised me to change it to a post-paid one. In return for harassment?
One day while in Calcutta, the promotional messages announced free caller tune. I activated one and they immediately SMSed a bill of Rs 30/- At once, I deactivated the service. But still the charges were deducted. See an easy way to fool people? If you get at least 100 customers every day, it is almost a lac of rupees per month.
These people are superfast at only deducting charges, never on service. Worst service available here.
