Recently I have ported my prepaid number from Karnataka circle to Kolkata circle. Before porting this number has worked well in Malaysia during my international visits without any extra payment. I used to get incoming SMS and network was not a problem. But after porting when I visited Malaysia again, the SIM is not getting registered in any Malaysian network. When I contacted Kolkata support team, they deducted Rs.99/- as roaming service charge and informed I have to pay Rs.99/- to get connected to network in Malaysia whereas their website says only to avail service like out going calls or SMS etc. I need to pay.which is correct? If the latter is true, then why I am not getting network in Malaysia? My problem is not resolved even after lodging complaint for last 10 days. Their Kolkata support repeatedly asking for Rs. 99/- roaming charge to get access to network although I could not get network access even after paying Rs. 99. There may be some technical reason which Vodafone kolkata is unaware and trying to extract money. Since Kolkata is now famous for TOLA(extortion), some those TOLABAJ also could enter vodafone support team to harass and extort from the customers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE PROVIDER.
