I have been a happy Hutch customer until Vodafone took over and I was expecting things to take a better turn after the takeover. But I was in for disappointment. The rates and plans from Hutch were always competitive and gr8 compared to Airtel but after the Vodafone take over the plans have gotten to be mirror images somehow. The customer service is still not as bad as Airtel but much worse compare to the Hutch days. The service that is so Happy to Help doesn't provide you a direct link to the customer sevice agent on the main menu, it's only in the sub-menus of the IVR that you find this options. This is so unlike the good old Hutch days when we had this option in the main menu. They have an issue with the preferred language because alougth I have set it to English, most of the time I end up speaking to someone who speaks in the local language.

And coverage was never gr8 with Hutch but atleast it was satisifactory, but with Vodafone it turned a nightmare. I loose connection all the time and always just 5 seconds into the call or 1 min 5 secs or 2 min 5 secs, you get the pic. And with pre-paid connection such bad connection is really not something I wanted to put up with. So now I have switched.

Would I recommend this connection? Probably not, but when it was Hutch I would have done so with enthusiasm. Atleast then the plans were gr8 if not the coverage, now both have gone for worse and since I am not satisified I can't ask anyone else to take this on.
