I am using 98.....134 Vodafone no..The problem is that on 12 august 2009 at 10:25 am I received a call from Vodafone’s Executive who gave me a long lecture about benefits of MCI(missed call information) service but when I politely said NO for the Service.
He immediately disconnected the phone without acknowledging. I tried calling the same number, but very cleverly planned by Vodafone, a voice prompted that the number (9988691195) is temporarily out of order. After few minutes I received a message that MCI service for my number is activated( even though I didn’t need it) and Rs 30 deducted from my balance amount.
Next, I called customer care to know about the above number but as obvious he couldn’t help, but guided me about procedure of getting the service deactivated. I got the service deactivated in minutes.
I am sending this message to all you guys, be aware of Vodafone, and likewise other multinational communication companies who take us Indian for granted. They are advertising day and night about “HAPPY TO HELP” but, on other side, are haunting customers with unwanted calls and forcefully imposing Services which are not required. Also, I adxise all of you to please record all the calls received from your service provider to use as evidence when approaching Consumer Forum and TRAI.
