Last august, 2009, I had recharged(topup) my vodafone for Rs.120/- with a talktime of Rs.106.79.
That day I had proceeded to delhi and placed my vodafone in my house. I had never used the
vodafone after the recharge. On my return from delhi, I had given my handset for maintenance
to a nokia service centre. They asked me to remove the sim card. so I removed my vodafone
sim card and gave the set for service. In between I lost my vodafone sim. So when I got my
handset repaired, I went to the vodafone service centre(vazhuthacaud, trivandrum) and told
them that I lost my sim. so they charged Rs.100/- for a new sim and told me that the new sim
will be activated within 24 hours.
On the next day when I got the sim activated. But the talktime of Rs.106.79/- which I had in the
old sim is not at all transfered to my new sim. when I contacted the local service centre they
asked me to contact the vendor. when I asked the vendor, he told me that they are helpless.
so I wrote a complaint to the local vodafone serice centre. but the reply is misguided. so again
i wrote to the nodal officer. She replied as follows:
A recharge of Rs. 120/- was done on 18/08/09 and talktime of Rs. 106.79/- availed. The SIM was replaced on the same day for which Rs. 100/- has been charged on account of SIM replacement charge. Hence, the balance deduction seen in your Vodafone account.
The next rexharge after the same has been only on 24/10/09 for which the talktime has also been crdited to your Vodafone account.
Hence, we would like to reconfirm that balance deduction is due to the SIM replacement charges and regret to inform that we would be unable to process any waiver requests on the same
so I got the surprise gift from the vodafone(that is recharge your vodafone with
Rs.120/- as a surprise gift you will get NIL talktime!)
