I got my Vodafone prepaid mobile connection in 2003 when I joined college. Since Hutch had some good value for money (like 10p/min) offers and many of my friends were already Hutch customers then, I took up this connection. But over the past few years, ever since Vodafone toook over Hutch, check out the problems you can expect with this connection:
-> 15 to 20 messages from VF to help with your love, luck, post/pre marital affairs, etc (dumb to the core)
-> Some recorded voice will pop up in a call saying... "Hello, caller tune pathi information... blah blah". You will receive this call most probably when you are in toilet or on another call or in a meeting when ur boss is royally screwing you.
-> Call conference - This was the only positive aspect which I considered in Vodafone but those dumbheads removed this as well.
-> Missed call alerts - I get alerts only after 6 to 7 hrs after I miss out a call which might have come in when my number was busy. Of course I just wanted to try this once but Vodafone taught me good about this useless service and penalized me with 30rs for just a day's usage
-> Post paid connection - Once a guy called me and told me that I was a premium customer. So he advised me to change to post paid connection where the bills would work out much cheaper. I ended up paying around Rs.1800/pm for 3 months(the minimum period for which I was forced to use a postpaid connection) after which I immediately changed back to prepaid where I was spending close to Rs.1000/pm. Much cheaper.... phew...
-> GPRS - omg!! I once paid Rs.650 for browsing continuously for 1 hr. That is close to 70mb/hr. Either my Nokia E90 is super duper fast or Vodafone is screwing me royally!! I believe that the second one is true. Ever since, I have not touched the GPRS crap.
After all this harrasment... why am I still using VF?
Coz all my coll mates have this number... all my friends have this number.... my colleagues have this number... my relatives have this number... I cant afford to change and update each and everyone.
Vodafone... thank you for your wonderful service!!! Of all the people that use your service, I believe it's only the Zoo Zoosss who're happy. No one else it. You even killed that PUG!!! Please do something or leave. We'll be happy with airtel or any other network!!!
