Ok....this is something which I felt every1 should know- incident happened wid my frnd....just for the record I have been a Vodafone user since 4 years and am ok with it...i use a basic monthly plan....so I really don't have much to complain abt


But my friend bought a blackberry and she signed up for the Vodafone Blackberry services- for some reason she wanted to change her number and asked the Vodafone guys for a fresh number( as in a number which hasn't been used by any1....she called Vodafone customer care and dey said dey will send some1 to pick up d verification documents- 1 photo identity and 1 address proof...now d agency guy who came gave her a sim card n all, assured her it was a fresh number and took her passport photocopy from her house; said her services will get activated in 48 hours...


Till 5 days it wasn't active she kept calling and complaining and finally after a week they started her services....but the screw up was she was getting messages and calls on her number...finally she realized that the number given to her wasn't fresh and it was already used by sum1 b4, the chick whose number it was originally called and begged my frnd to give her back d number saying that it was her lucky phone number....she hadn't paid d bill- so Vodafone has disconnected her service and released the sim back in2 d market!


My friend was getting fed up of getting her calls so she agreed to give her back d number and asked vodafone to give her a new number...she had to go to Vodafone store- resubmit her documents all over again and den wait another week for her service to start- she was soo fed up n irritated by the end of it....she almost threw away her BB, word of advice- don't let Vodafone agents come to ur house n collect docs....they are not properly trained, better go directly to Vodafone store n do ur work.
