Hi,
This review is regarding Vodafone's custromer service and Fraud in billing.
Friends, I am copy pasting a mail which I sent it to Vodafone regarding my query. And in reply what I got from them. This will be understood by you very easily. below is the mail sent by me. Some of the things are marked.

There is a serious concern on my number 9909244, Case of which is given below in points;
1. I bought a new Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Android phone and had an Vodafone connection, Initially in the first month I tried the Default zero rental GPRS connection which is called as "Vodafone connect", I checked the bill and realized that I need a pack to have a stable GPRS which can give me value for money, so I inquired about Vodafone Live 99, about which I was told by your CSR that Vodafone Live 99 is for unlimited internet connection and you simply have to pay rent of 99rs.*
2) I confirmed and I was assured by the CSR that Vodafone Live 99 is completely free you can access Facebook Gmail and surfing is totally free, only downloading is chargeable wherein for eg: A certain wallpaper on a wap site is said that downloading cost is 10 Rs. then it will highlighted in your monthly bill. rest the other sites which are free like Facebook, google, gmail are absolutely free.( Clarification regarding You tube was not given to me at this stage)
3) I was new to the concept of Android, so I asked your CSR whether I can download Android application free of cost with this connection and he said yes sir, Android apps are absolutely free you will not be charged.( NOTHING WAS CLARIFIED ABOUT ANDROID by your CSR)
4) He asked me the details about my handest and he sent me the connection settings via SMS and he asked me to simply save the settings, wherein it was confirmed to him that make and model of my handset was Sony Erricsson Xperia X8.
(HE DID NOT CLARIFIED ANYTHING EVEN AT THIS STAGE)
I asked him to deactivate my Vodafone connect and activate vodafone Live 99 on my number, on which he told me "that once Vodafone live gets activated, vodafone connect will get deactivated automatchandru021y".
5) Still I was having issues with the connection, so finally I decided to visit the Sony Centre and showed my phone to them, They said the connection settings are to be done by your service provider, so I went to Thane Vodafone customtakeouter care centre"
6) There I told them that "I have activated vodafone live 99 on my phone but its not working, please sort this issue", they did some modifications to the same handset and the connections started working, and conclusion was given to me that some Port issue was there whereas they changed the default connection to Vodafone Connect, but nothing was told to me even at this stage by that person, that Vodafone Live 99 cannot work on this model. Whereas in Android phones it does not prompts for the connection gateways " whether Vodafone connect or vodafone live " So I was assuming that My connection is Vodafone Live
7) Now after the bill has generated, when I investigated about the bill which crossed the 2000 Rs., I was told that You Tube is not Applicable, Then Vodafone live 99 is not applicable on Sony Erricsson Xperia X8 model. And when I asked Mr. Muffaddal Maskawala about this blunder he did not have any explaination on this.
I had a certain level of trust in your firm which is completely breached.
Total amount which has cost me for this blunder, from your end is Rs. 2716 /- or may be more than that.
I need a complete waiver for this and I want my money back which is already paid. I had already done lot of conversations with CSRs and Mr. Muffaddal but they do not have explanation for this but only thing they have to say is it cannot be reversed.
IF THIS ISSUE IS NOT ADDRESSED IS RIGHTFUL MANNER THEN IT WOULD PROVOKE ME TO TAKE UP THIS ISSUE TO THE CONSUMER FORUM.

We tried to get in touch with you on your above mentioned Vodafone mobile number but were unable to speak to you.
Further we would like to confirm that the Vodafone mobile connect charges levied are indeed correct and cannot be reversed. Also we have waived off one months rental Vf Live Unlimited@Rs 99, kindly send us a request for the deactivation of Vf Live Unlimited@Rs 99.

Over and above that they kept my service activated inspite of me deactivating it and again billed me without my knowledge. And Explaination given to me is that " Sir If you want to you have an option of Switiching to some other service provider without chaging your number you have to send simple sms to get the porting code, This was told to me by "Babita Mishra" floor supervisor Mumbai.
