Originality:

Viva! -the band made by cannel [V]- after two massive concerts, hits the shelves in Pakistan at last,

ending the long period of anticipation for those who have been following their series on Star Plus and Channel [V], those who have been struck with viva-mania.

It all started with a nation-wide talent hunt by Channel [V] in India, with 500 hopeful female participants dreaming to be popstars. 5 girls made it through, namely Anushka, Neha, Seema, Mahua and Prateichi. Anushka's deep voice, breathly Neha, Seema's soft notes, Prateichi's distinct tone, and the very confident Mahua, all add up to what we call ''Viva''.

Their album offers great variety, with each song being different from one another in style, music, pace and tone. There is great diversity, ranging from the street-wise Jasakte ho to the peaceful Jahan ho Pyaar ka Mausam.

The album starts with their superhit introductory song Hum Naye Geet Sunaye composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. It is one of those songs which get stuck in your head until you listen to other songs to get rid of it. Jahan ho Pyaar ka Mausam is number two in the list, a typical Jatin-Lalit

song which rarely makes you tap your feet. Mujhe Zindagi mein ik Dost is a dreamy song about ideal soulmates offering excellent lyrics and a rythematic beat. Sandeep Chowta's Jasakte ho has a similar beat but a totally opposite pace, rythem, tone and style with brilliant vocals by all the girls (especially Anushka).

Kisse Poochain and Bolo Na are two catchy songs which never fail to force you to stand up and dance. Kisse Pochain is a fusion song, combining the mystical flute with a futuristic beat.

The album ends with another twin pair of songs. Jaago Zara and Kaali Mai Diya Silai are two songs which are based on women rights. Salim and Suleiman's Jaago Zara is a mesmerizing song with a captivating beat and inspiring https://lyrics. Kaali Mai Diya Silai is a little too offensive with a below average tune (or rather its ''out of tune'').

On the whole, I would highly recommend this album to all of you. The album is a combination of Javed Akhtar's inspiring lyrics, Viva's awesome vocals, creativity of the directors and the efforts of the whole channel [V] team giving it an overall rating of COOL.

Courage, hope, talent, risk and ambition, all had contributed to the making of Viva and to the

fulfilling of these girls' dreams. It is these girls' talent and ability that earned them a distinction among the 500 girls who partcipated in the coke [V] popstars talent hunt.

And here they are Seema, Anushka, Neha, Mahua and Prateichi, on top of the charts with fame, fortune, and success with the support of their friends and family.
