I am wearing prescription glasses for almost 20 years for short-sight. I was wearing simple frame with Nikon glasses with anti-reflection, scratch resistant etc. I wanted to replace it almost 2.5 years ago. I went Lawrence & Mayo, Ordered a Vogue frame with essilor lenes with all things like anti-reflection etc.
It costed me close to Rs.9, 500 for one pair of glasses. After 6 months or so.. from the frame paint was coming out like a piece of paper and started to peel off all over the place and eventually it was ugly looking with 1 - 1.5 year or so.
I was so disappointed with that was looking for replacement. Scouted around a lot. This time decided to buy frame + lens for no more than Rs. 1500 or so. Went to Titan, all local shops etc. No luck for my budget and quality I wanted.
I saw Vision Express in opp. BSK BDA complex and stepped in. I bought 2 pair glasses with all the coating for Rs. 2000+. It bought almost 6 months ago.
One of the glasses, I lost the nose shoe because the screw was loose or something. Went last week, got it replaced free of cost.
No issue in night driving in car. Cost was only Rs. 2000+ and I have 2 pair glasses. I wasted money L&M. Even I break the current one, I still have a backup and it will come for at least another 8 - 12 months..
I am not wearing a branded one but the quality of the frame and lens is very good and no regrets at all.
The one I am wearing is rim-less in the bottom very similar design to my earlier vogue..
